I was at this show. Energy was unbelievable. Almost no security and the crowd was ROWDY. People were throwing trash barrels around, probably because they were two hours late taking the stage and it was hot as hell in there. Good times.

Fresh out of jail, signed with Rocafella, and had anything he wanted brought to him. This show was a one time thing, in the documentary for this they all were surprised EVERYONE showed up. As far as ODB, I promise you hes doing just fine here lol. I remember buying this DVD at a best buy around 04 or 05. These are fucking classics and this concert is fucking history lol

Was this after ODB’s prison stay ? If so it makes sense - he’s lost heart here ..like he don’t believe it no more . So sad. RIP ODB - Loyal too the WU and they let him down !!
There is a documentary DVD about this night. The concert promoter and RZA were trying to convince ODB to come to the show. He did not want to go and instead wanted to be doing other shit (women, drugs, etc). RZA & Dirty even got into an argument about it because RZA got so frustrated at ODB being difficult. They then tried pleading with Ol ‘Dirty’s right hand man (and Brooklyn Zu member) Buddha Monk to talk to Dirty. After much convincing, Dirty finally showed up to the concert at the last minute (literally minutes before the Wu had to go on stage).
And yes this was after Dirty was released from prison and signed to Roc-A-Fella in 2003. This concert took place in 2004, months before ODB passed away in November of 2004.

When they did Triumph...lemme be the first to admit that I straight up forgot that I had something cooking on the burner. I immediately just dropped my spoon and chicken stock and loaded, lit and smoked that shit. Such a trip to have the pleasure of watching something like this. Straight up trippy to see Ol Dirt just coolin on the sideline, but still being front and center like that. And Rae’s closing verse in this particular track was something I missed-they were mad close to that too-no Rod Strickland? W’s UP
