First Cutting 2020 Part 3 - Raking & Baling

I am raking and baling 7 acres of quality horse hay. 5 acres of orchard grass, timothy, clover and 2 acres of timothy.
I am using my John Deere 5300 tractor with a 520 loader, my New Holland 326 Hayliner Small Square baler and my Vermeer WR20 8 wheel hay rake.
Had an issue where the twine got wrapped up around the right bill hook and was stuck in the twine disc. This ends up being an issue with an adjustment on the trip arm that will be fixed in a later video.
Ended up with a great yield at 96 bales/acre.

Hi, Great Video. I have a chance to get a. New Holland 326 Baler for $4500. I was concerned my tractor might not be able to handle it. I see you are Bailing with a John Deere 5300 is that 50 Hp at the PTO? I have a John Deere 5075e 61 Hp at the PTO. do you think my tractor can handle a 326 Baler well?
How does your 5300 do with and with out a full wagon?

Absolutely that 5075 will do great! My 5300 never had an issue even with the thickest hay!

This seems like just an ok channel. Has a long ways to go to compete with those bigger farming channels

Thank you for that! This is my second year and was my first full year of being dedicated to making videos every week or so. I definitely don’t have the size of equipment or ground to compete with the bigger guys material, but was hoping people would like a channel more obtainable and relatable to their life style. Really appreciate your feedback though!
