I am bca first year now. Big data science or cloud /devops which one should i choose better for my future
Sir i am in my 4th sem and i am pretty good in. Dsa c c++ and some oops concepts but know for my 3 year i want to grab internship i am bit confused which technology should i start with and i dont think devops have much opportunities
For smaller companies it is expected that developers will be taking care of devops side but in bigger companies it is not possible for developers to handle both that's what devops is for where developers will be mainly concentrating on development rather then operations and handling deployment.
as a developer I want to focus on the development not the whole lifecycle of the product. I am in a disagreement with the sir, for efficient development there's gonna need a devops forever.
you are right! developers talk with one system one application at a time. devops person talks with multiple systems multiple tools multiple application at a time and keeps everything intact. these two roles were never together and cannot be together in future as well.
can I go with Devops as a career in 2024??

If everything shifts left towards developers, wont they go through burn outs too easily? Efficiency of the team will be affected. We can not rely fully on automation either when it comes to operations and site reliability. Although the hype might not be as much as it is now, wouldnt the role be as important in the future too? What are your thoughts on that?
Yes, the role will still be relevent. Just finished talking to a C developer just now. So Technology never dies the hype goes down and eveybody expected to know general stull like Linux, DevOps etc..
Leave the future of Devops we can't decide any future at all....
What about after 5 to 6 years down line no Future of Devops ML/AI is leading the market. What is AIops how it is related to devops can you elaborate in detail..
It's going to be mainstream. Just like Java / .NET today. So it will have relevence but that extra edge it gets today will go down. At the sare time people will get oppurtunity to learn new things and progress like AIOps for example.

You can learn it but as fresher try to keep the broad perspective. and learn lot of things and then in your 3rd or 4th year try to zero down to one specific area.
I'm in my first year of computer science and decided to learn cloud engineering and then DevOps. Do u think demand will actually decline, and if so what is the alternative? Will AI DevOps be a good option for the future? I really want to know the answer, and I don't want to waste my effort.

Yes, DevOps is more of automation of application deployment and rellated areas like build, infra and deployments. BigData and anything related to Data will be more popular down the line in few years. So if someone is still studying they can focus on that side.

Please rply, I am working as an cloud ops engg with 2.5 yrs of exp which is purely aws, linux now i got the offer as cloud ops and req is aws, linux (which i know) and vmware, backup using veeam (need to learn) of 7 lpa and 2nd role i got as an junior devops engg if 5lpa which requires linux (which i know) , ansible, docker, kubernetes, bash scripting( needs to learn) and main cloud they are using is azure and they have few on servers in aws and i have expertise in aws so should which role should i choose as an aws cloud operations engineer?

Cloud is not technology but infrastructure. Going forward I can see only an increase in the usage. It's like saying the internet soon will be phased out. Ai/LLM, data science, you are comparing apples to peaches. What is your thesis, cloud will be replaced with?
they are not compared technology wise but career options.

yes but premium goes away overtime. becomes crowded. already salary of devops and cloud engineers down by 10-15% and getting closer to full stack developers.
@@DevOps-Cloud Well yeah, it is just market correction. As something commoditized it is happening. The same will go with ML or DS. As a matter of fact with DS it happening for some time, Instead of jumping to the newest shiny thing people should scale vertically

You mean to say that companies are going to prefer multly tasking people.... that's y devops is such so not go with it right.....
DevOps and Cloud roles have an extra edge for a few years. But just like any new tech there will be saturation and decline in adoption and it will become mainstream. Basically, everyone will be expected to know. so it means it's better to learn it now.
