Great video! gyro is must for me, for sure! However, I wouldn't recommend using the Gyro lean as in-game lean functions (like the siege and pubg ones you mentioned), because it is really hard to keep the aim stable while leaning the controller with gyro on. RambleTan made a video with a different approach for that, called "Gyro Directional Swipes for Better Tilt", which essentially solves that issue. Personally, I just bind lean to clicks to the Right and Left of the trackpad.
IVE BEEN TRYING TO TELL PEOPLE ABOUT GYRO CONTROLS ON FPS SINCE I PLAYED MODERN COMBAT ON IOS MY IPAD IPHONE AND EVEN IPOD HAD IT ONCE YOU PLAY A FPS WITH GYRO EVERY TIME YOU PLAY THAT DAME GAME WITHOUT IT MAKES THE GAME FEEL BROKEN IM TALKING 15 KILLS PER GAME TO ATLEAST 30 JUST FROM BEING ABLE TO MOVE YOUR BODY AND THE CHARACTER MOVES THAT SAME DIRECTION MAKES TOUR AIM ATLEAST 50 TIMES BETTER THAN NORMAL CONTROLS I CANT WAIT TO TEST THIS OUT ON MY DECK WITH COD AND MORE ANYWAY ANOTHER GREAT 👍 VIDEO LOVE MY STEAM DECK COMMUNITY 😁😊😁
the menu where you accessed the gyro settings.. is that big picture mode? through desktop? I've only accessed that recently so I'm still unfamiliar with it
When I play a casual 3rd person shooter (ie campaign mode) I use gyro on my steam controller but for competitive online gaming, I use mouse and keyboard exclusively. Other than that gyro is pretty good. "The way use it is mostly right pad for camera and use the grip to enter gyro for precision aiming other than that I can't do full movement to aim or turn it is just cumbersome but to make micro-adjustments it's fine. However, I do feel mouse and keyboard are just overall faster to acquire aim and fire.
Setting your gyro to right track pad touch is much better. That way the gyro is always ready to go when a target is on screen and but will only be activated when your thumb is actually against the right track pad :)
I have never tried gyro for aiming so I don't able to know how good or bad the are but wanted to give I try because I find how this system works I will able to test how the works I want to give I try tho But all the controllers I have dasn't have jyroscope so I'm not able to testing giroscop The only way to testing giroscop is my smart phone One thing I'm to add is ramble but I hated ramble because 1. Wean you don't use the controller the controller move 2. The ramble it's on off those categories 1. Is very annoying for the player there not very used to it 2. It the player that used to it the don't even understood that is There so I don't see any reason to add that in my game I don't know any one that I like ramble I know people that don't have problem and people that don't care but I don't enyone that love ramble
I tried it in splatoon 2, I stretch my hand and move it too much when I play or like to move my controller around. Have to turn it off since it's throwing off my aim
I hate having it always on, using it with the steam controller is a lot better, since just lifting the thumb from the trackpad allows you to re-center without moving your camera. After a while it feels just like lifting a mouse.
I have been using steam input with the steam controller and ps4 controller. I still hate the gyro. If I make a controller profile, I turn it off. If I download a profile with gyro enabled, I turn it off. I only use gyro in emulators that have games that require it.
One tweak I always make is to make it so that Gyro only activates while I'm touching the right trackpad. But I understand if gyro isn't for everyone. Happy gaming!
@@HiTechLoLife Yeah, I have experienced that in some pre-configured profiles. I turn that off too lol. The gyro is not bad. Actually, it is pretty accurate. I just don't like it. If I am tapping my foot, it messes me up. Gaming in a reclined position where the controller is on my abdomen, even breathing messes me up. I could see it being great for people less fidgety than I am. I do think trying to game in bed with the steam deck and playing with gyro controls would be a fail for a lot of people though.
For using gyro your controller must stay in your lap, wedging your hands between your inner thighs. Doing that fixes all the issues with unwanted movement
Who is with me for the Road to Global Elite challenge on the Steam Deck :D?
When the steam controller came out I was able to make it to nova 3 lol

Vive la revolution!
Whoa 2 touch pad and gyro for aiming, this gives the choice to find the more convenient and comfortable way of play

Brother man I think you left your caps lock on
@@rajgill7576 NO HOMBRE ITS NOT ITS JUST YOUR EYES 😊
I'm really hoping Valve adds player space and world space as gyro steering options at some point
that would be so good for gyro aim.
You can bind your gyro as an analog stick and there you have it.
Nice. I gotta make one of these how to videos.
Fantastic video!

I need a playlist!
I've been saying this since Splatoon one. I'll shill it till I'm blue in the face.
Could be fun for a while , but the classic way if gaming is the more natural and essential.

Put the controller in your lap and don't move it from there. Then you will get better with gyro

I love gyro. I can't imagine how i would play good old Max Payne or call of duty 2 on the other controller.
