Took a class with Jedi, I can confirm the one on one time is amazing. He spends time with everyone in almost every topic. His class teaches you to eliminate the unnecessary and just do what works naturally.
Scott's understanding of, and explanations of, the body mechanics in shooting are a big part of why he's so good at teaching this. He's a smart, observant guy, with a great personality for teaching. He walks what he talks, too. His draw & presentation are ultrafast and smooth, no wasted movement. His demonstrations always reinforce what he's talking about. Truly an awesome instructor.
Always appreciate videos like these from you, 1911 Syndicate and all the other guys. MSP/Jedi is definitely one of the best instructors out there and hopefully I can take a class from him and AJ soon. Best thing to take from this is, always remember the foundation. Just like a house, kickboxing, jiu-jitsu or any other sport, if your foundation is not solid and strong, it doesnt matter what knowledge you add on top of that. You will always have problems and bad habits.
Great coverage in this vid. Looking forward to the rest of the segments too. I’ve been following one MSP/Jedi for a couple of years now and am looking forward to taking a class with him… hopefully within the next year.
Man, thank you so much for this Jim! Your channel has become one of my favorites, and Jedi is “best in class” in my humble opinion! I hope to be able to train with him one day. Keep up the incredible work dude! Can’t wait for the next video! Again, you have no idea how appreciative I am for you taking the time to film this experience, and sharing it with the world! 🙏🏻
I'm old enough to say at this point in my life, I've been trained in a few sports by top shelf coaches (in skiing & golf) before I started shooting a little over a year ago. I took MSP's 2-day RDS last August, AJ Zito was his 2d for the class. Scott Jedlinski is the 2d best athletic movement instructor I've ever known, and the best living instructor. AJ Zito is damned good too.
Thanks for the video. I coach rugby and I'm constantly looking for new ways (basic and advanced) to teach it. I coach from ages 8 through adults and one of the fundamentals we teach is LOOK (lol sounds obvious but most players don't always look: Look at the ball, look at offense, look at the defense, look at the tackler etc.). This eye/vision thing on this video has give me some good ideas.
Signed up to take Jedis class as soon as I finished watching these videos...going to train with him at Big Tex next weekend, thanks Jim...wish I would have known about him sooner lol since ETTS is my home range
@@bluyetiinc7553 the class is awesome and I learned a ton. Became a much better shooter because of it. People of all skill levels got better at the class I was in.
If had the same problem as you but to the right. Such a simple adjustment yet I hadn’t thought about it. Will get after it next range trip! Thank Jim, good shit
Coming froma Kungfu standpoint, Jedi is 100% correct. In the style I practice, Jedi basically repeats what was taught in our system (and frankly applies to nearly every other system), that no matter how physically fit or deficient you are, your form and structure are going to make or break whatever it is you are trying to accomplish. Small things will play a big part in how you manage, in this case, the recoil. I've been very fortunate to listen to some great teachers point this principle out and it's truly amazing how just a slight alteration to your body mechanics vastly changes your performance. The devil is in the details. But NEVER assume strength is a compensation for skill.
I enjoyed listening to Jedi as always... Your commentary and feedback is also very helpful, from the student perspective. Just subscribed, looking forward to more.
Great presentation. The more I watch your channel, the more I enjoy it. I will definitely apply the techniques shown. I also enjoy Milspec Mojo. You guys would be terrific in a collaboration.
Great video, I’ve been watching a ton of Jedi’s videos lately and he has such a deep wealth of knowledge. Love the end of the video too, that’s usually me for the first 10 minutes before I record any quality material 😂
First time to see ur video. It was very good. I try to watch as much as I can of jedhi I don't watch his long gun videos. Don't own one and don't plan to. I liked and subed. I know you content makers get either dollars or points for likes, subs, and comments, so I did all tonight
I got to train with Jedi and AJ last summer and really learned a lot. I went to the 2 day class, but am interested in the AIWB day. Will you have any footage from that? Thanks, love your content.
I used to get corrected for having one foot forward instead of shoulder length apart because It felt weird to not have a foot forward to counter a force pushing against you... I fucking knew I was right
Holy fuck nuggets Jim!!! I had no idea you were 4 foot haha 😂 that camera is deceiving!! Lol yeah man these classes are amazing!!! It suck I’m in Kentucky and it’s a weeks drive or $1,000 dollar plane ticket 😢
Really interesting video, I do have a question. Picking a pro, What should I look for? I live in a city of about 150,000 people, so I'm sure there are some local pros, but I could also travel maybe once or twice a year for a 3day someplace. Am I better off with a local I can see quite a bit, or someone at the top of the game that I'll only get to see once or twice? And how do I pick?
Okay, so I have a question on stance. I do certain things left-handed and other things right handed. One of the things I do is shoot left-handed. My stance as it is now, I place my left foot forward. Should I have a stance with my right foot forward? Or does it matter or just what's comfortable and natural to me? Thank you in advance. New member and I really enjoy your videos!
Even ambidextrous people have a favored side. Which hand you favor them opposite should be forward. In the end once your body understands how it works exact stance matters less and less.
I respect everything he said and you made super valid points but my issue is that I watch a ton of jerry miculek. Jerry is the world’s fastest and skilled shooter in the world and still to this day holds the title to the fastest shooter. He teaches and demonstrates isosceles stance. So it’s controversial and not sure the actual approach to really take. Maybe some people can chime in why we should do the exact opposite of the world’s fastest shooter when attempting to shoot fast.
Good times brother!
Looking forward to more in the future!
Good stuff man! Definitely left me wanting more, can’t wait for this series to continue. Hey oh!
I’m pretty stoked about, it’s honestly helped me retain the info better
Awesome 😎

Amazing body mechanics explanation and demonstration

I'm looking forward to following this series.

Phenomenal. Thank you for sharing such an outstanding instructor with us. I am more and more impressed with Jedi’s instruction every time I see it.

Yes Jedi is the man
Did you know how much we’ve learned from this video alone ??? Thanks bro!! Great content
I really appreciate your clarity and quality of your videos!
Appreciate the support
Took 2 classes with Scott so far. When it comes to learning how to run a dot his class is 2nd to none.
he seems like a great guy, i had fun watching, it was engaging and extremely informative. what a great teacher.
Look forward to Scott coming to our range towards end of year in so cal. Always great to see the man working his style of craft.
Probably the best video I’ve seen on managing recoil!
One of Scotts Alumni, his class did more for me than any other class we ith regard to handgun shooting, even improved my carbine.

Good stuff. I gotta get into one of his classes.
Good stuff Jim. Thanks!
i saw modern samurai & came to hit the like button, after taking his class my draw from concealment went from 2 seconds to 0.93 in like 8 weeks
GREAT video, Jim!!
I'm taking his class in Sep and can't wait!

That just look like sooooo much fun.
Recoil control, proper stance and sight picture is all great! But if you ain’t pressin’ that trigger correctly, it was all for nothing!

Oof, Jedi called the guy wearing a powerlifting hoodie a crossfitter lol. Great videos, keep them coming!
Great video.
I'd like to here about trigger reset too
I love that he gave a shout out to BJJ 🥋
I dig the hat, where can I get one?
A martial art that teaches mind body coordinations is Ki Aikido, you might find it informative. Its helped me.
And where does Aikido come from? Jiu-Jitsu
Ahegh!
Aikido is a martial art as much as interpretive dancing is one
Good show

Great info man!!!
Firearms training and a small comedy show. Nice.
What more could we ask for?
Where was the class taught?
Where part of the country does Scott conduct his training?
Can you put up a link to his courses?
I totally agree about Jiu Jitsu. I’m a black belt and I’ve been training for nearly 14 years. Get on the mats and learn!
Michelle! She's super legit.
She’s awesome for sure
Gonna be honest, i completely forgot you were here till you jumpscared me at the end
Phenomenal video. Quick clarification: Jedi's last name ends in "i" so Jedlinski not Jedlinsky.
