Great info! I'd add the amazing indie music scene and low-key bars as a plus! And the commute times go up drastically during typical work week rush hours, about doubled from the last time I did it
I have been watching your videos, they are very informative. I am leaving Portland, Oregon to Research Triangle on a road trip September 4th stopping at Ashville on our way. The question I have, do you recommend I stay in Chapel Hill, Durham or Raleigh. Not into chain restaurants, Starbucks, a huge supporter of small businesses, fan of old downtowns, old neighborhoods. love to walk. Research Triangle has been a bucket list for a long time. It has been a known fact the best education you can get in USA with affordable tuition has been University of Education, I wanted my daughter to go UNC or UT at Austin, but her choices were different 🙂
If you're looking to visit the whole Triangle, I would stay somewhere near the airport or Briar Creek which is very central, within 30 minutes of everything. Hope you have a great trip!

Excellent vid. I think it's also worth mentioning all of the concert venues, especially Cat's Cradle.

Chapel Hill will soon be the 5th largest city in the Triangle when Apex passes it, if it already hasn't.
Yep. Apex is exploding in growth
The houses will be larger than Tom and I will need unless his family goes together to get a large home together as a family
When are they going to close the coal plant? Are the people still healthy living there?
Another great video! Is there a Durham version of this ? Love the insights - especially as a person who recently bought a place out here haha
Thank you! Durham is coming soon. We're going to cover all cities in the Triangle
