At 9:12 when she was singing Chandelier and playing the piano, you can hear her dad say, “ It sounds like she’s singing with a mic ha ha.” because her voice is just naturally loud and crystal clear even without a mic.
She was super young in a lot of these clips but you can see that she already has the talent even at such a young age. She was born with it and she just fine tuned it as she grew up. ❤️
She doesn't need a microphone, she is always ready, she is humble, she is talented, she can do impromptu and she can really slay! 14:26 Filipino singers of her generation and the newcomers have to constantly prove they’re worth listening to, worth paying for tickets to their concerts. They have to continuously please the local audience.
The bar has been set so high by Lea Salonga & Regine V. You have to prove your worth. Otherwise, local will just go to karaoke bars or bars with live bands. That’s my take on it.
You can see that she simply just loves singing. It just so happens that the world just loves looking at her while doing it.
If you’re a singer in the Philippines, professionally or otherwise, you are always asked to give “samples” of your singing talent by people. If you are the singer in the family, you are usually expected to sing or provide intermission numbers in every birthday party, reunion or just any occasion where there is a gathering of family (like christmas).

Here in the Philippines, when you’re a singer who is on the way to stardom or if you wanted to be famous, aside from competing on singing competitions, you have to show the people what you can do with your voice because there’s thousands of talented singers here. So, to proved to the Filipino audiences that you’re a cut above the rest or to sell your album, when being asked by the media to give an impromptu performances, you have to do it and impressed them. And also, many singers honed their talent through singing the 90’s power ballads from Mariah, Whitney, Celine, Bryan Adams, Michael Bolton and many more, that’s why Philippines is also “the land of belters”, and we still listened and sing on the karaoke those 90’s power ballads.

Hi guys, how's it going! Hello from Scotland. I always tune in when you're doing a reaction. Especially Mori! But, like you said. It's great seeing singers from all over the world. I don't usually listen to much Kpop. Tho I have listened to a little. I like Blackpink, and recently found Mamamoo! Oh my god! Their so good. Especially their Immortal Songs 2 performances. You should check out their performance of Delilah. There's a old guy watching, who looks half dead lol. Who was the first singer to translate it, and sing it in Korean. Obviously, it's an old Tom Jones classic. Their performances of Passion Flower, Wonderful Confessions and Immortal Songs Medley are also fantastic. Their voices are amazing. Their names are Hwasa, Solar, Wheein and Moonbyol who is the rapper. Tho, she sings pretty good too. In a lower register than the other girls. Tho, the company who put them together wanted her to just be the rapper. And just occasionally coming in with the harmonies. Thankfully, now. She's getting more vocal work within the group.
