When I first started beatboxing in 2009, I heard technical beatboxers reaching the top and I was like "really? these are the top?" But after I got into beatboxing I realized that this was like watching drum soloists going crazy into technically difficult stuff that as a listener you would be bored to listen to and prefer nicely structured drummers, while drum nerds would go crazy for those highly skillful technically drummers kinda thing. This is I guess one analogy I can think of
@@Limitless_King it's segmented into what like 2 minute clips per artist? It's basically made for cutting into smaller videos for those who stress around in life so much they can't sit still and maintain focus for more than 5 minutes at a time.
I mean I ain't blaming you, I like musicality more than technicality. Though in my opinion, it's not quite right to say Technicality beatboxers doesn't have or have less structure than Musicality beatboxers. Tech Beatboxers are usually more like a long whole drum solo.it took me long before I've grown to appreciate the complex rhythms and time signatures(not saying you have to understand it to actually enjoy it, I mean it's an entertainment after all) Just putting out my opinion and appreciate the reaction bro
22:53 i think its some type of Vortex Whistle A Vortex Whistle IS made with 2 sound: 1. Inward Clickroll, It's like a "Trilled R" but inward (while inhaling) 2. And then you shape tour mouth to Whistle inward while trilling I hope you understood, nice video.
Was hoping you would get to this one eventually, I knew you would like some of the more musically structured beatboxers. If you want to try any of the recent live battles I think River vs Hiss would be your style.
That G1 was something else ..they are all so incredibly talented ..amazes me how they do that ..mind blowing ..Fi you are looking rather dashing in your shirt thanku so much always a pleasure lovely Fi much love and God bless always x
As a beatbox fan I absolutely understand your judging! The wildcards are basically a video you submit to enter a competition so a lot of it is just ticking boxes such as originality, technicality, flow etc People also didn’t agree with Alem (7) and Alexinho (2) being on the list but hey, judges are judges for a reason! We can all discuss our rankings without any hate so great video Fil! Hope you dive some more into beatbox content in the future ❤️
Hey great reaction! To suit your liking you should check den bbu wildcard 2022.... He has great pitch control and has nice vocals.... He uses the complex sounds in a very melodious way.
Alem (7) in 2015 and alexinho(2) in 2018 won solo category world championships, an event conducted every three years. In 2019, they collab and joined GBB, same event you've watched which conducted yearly, in different category called "tagteam" where two are against two. They both have won two of the biggest international competition in the world. Gene also won GBB solo category in 2015 so this comeback is one of the most awaited in the beatbox world. Showgo once joined GBB in 2018 and placed top 8 in the world. River also once joined GBB in 2019 and also placed top 8 in the world. Stitch became known in a competition in 2019 where world-class beatboxers judged the event such as alem and dlow (you should check him out), but this is Stitch's first time to join a big event like gbb. Max is new to this game, literally an underdog.
Fil, I've just bought you a Ned plush toy, will give it to you when we meet up in London pre TOP concert. He's 21cm tall and will fit in the top pocket of any stylish suit. Love to the family.
For me I’m not a fan of the technicality beatbox styles because I can CLEARLY tell it’s just someone’s mouth making noises, but more musicality focused beat boxers seem to have this ability to modulate their voices, noises, pitches, and tones, to make them nearly indistinguishable from an instrument or
The problem is, the average person doesn't even notice all the layers and polyrythms in technical beatboxing. It's sad because singing well is way easier than doing a complex beat.
25:17 That’s the hollow whistle. You do it by hollowing your throat, (usually happens while you try growling deeply, hold that position and you’ve successfully hollowed your throat; once you start looking for it you start to feel it and notice it) lowering your jaw and with your lips in a whistle position blow out air like you are whispering.
Imagine how good River's wildcard was, to make a non-beatboxer musical-beat lover put him on top 1 over Gene's or Stitch's wildcards... I think River's wildcard for GBB 21 was probably one of the best, if not the best, beatbox solo wildcard ever to be created for this competition
The first guy shown and third guy shown was trash Only knew beat box but didn’t make good video Show go (Japanese guy) should have been above And the second place guy only knew how to beatbox and that’s why he was high rank but didn’t compose much. Should’ve been 4th placed

Listen to Colaps.
@@mrploopy8189 What you think I don't know colaps? Bruh I've been following Beatbox scene for years already. Why do you think I've made this huh?

I personally think Heartzel should've pipped Alem to the number 7 spot, but hey, at least he got to perform as unprepared as he was.
Wow!!!! Simply amaze balls!! How do they do that???!!!
With a lot of practice haha
Years of practice :))

Den GBB Wildcard almost made it in, an is o par with Gene's im terms of musicality. You will absolutely love it
I agree 💯 with you Fil...!! The last guy and G1 was definitely the best I think
you ranked your top 5 in the same order as me, good stuff
The polyphonic of stitch is amazing !!!!!

Oh wow!!! That’s amazing man! Thank you 😬😬😬😬
please react to H-Has BBU wildcard
Will do that ☺️
little fun fact actually: Show-Go would've ranked higher but he got -6 points because his wildcard was 6 seconds too long
I love beatbox! I hope you do more! I recommend things from the sbx kickback battle I think you would love dudz!
agree on more liking the ones who add vocals and beeing more melodic
Yeaah 🤩🔥🔥
Both the world champions were not even mentioned. Uniteam destroyed in seconds 😂😂
For those who listen for the first time or do not know much about Beatbox, they like music more and not as complex and fast as alexinho and Alem.
To give an example, you first listen to Inertia vs Colaps or Alem or Zero and they will like Inertia much more
Yayyyy time to start with solo eliminate eliminations!! Here for it
Such a quality video
River makes perfect balance between musicality and technicality
Love your reaction… btw if you like musical types of beatbox i recomend you codfish 2018, Codfish 2019 and D-low 2018 - 2021

Oh no, I get what I meant... Yeah, they were pretty technical beatboxer, not impressive for a non beatboxer, I can feel it too
