Another Rod Temperton written jam. This is where Michael Jackson “Off The Wall” production team started coming together. Quincy loved Louis Johnson as bassist and Rod of of course as a writer and keyboardist🎶
I'm ashamed to say that I had been hearing this song for years, and only just started appreciating it about 4-5 years ago. I was sleeping on this one! So good.
The album was produced by Quincy Jones and some of the songs are by Rod Temperton, who wrote a number of Michael Jackson's hits and many for others as well. These two played on many Quincy Jones productions.
Louis Johnson played with some of the greatest performers, including on Michael Jackson's albums "Off the Wall," "Thriller" and "Dangerous." He was nicknamed "Thunder-Thumbs" because of, you guessed it....his thunder-thumpin' on that bass!!! I bought his instructional DVD, even though I can't play a lick. I just love watching and learning techniques and hearing musicians' philosophical approach to music!!!!
These Cats were Fantastic! Their Music just have that Spark that Makes You Wanna Feel the Funk. My Favorite Jams is "Get The Funk Out My Face" and "Free and Single."
My pops gave me LP for my Bday 1980. This song reminds of summers in the hood. Kickball games. Tops. Fire Hydrants. Cookouts. Playing Hot peas and butter. Man, I can could go on and on. The music we grew up on, felt more spiritually connected, because it was genuine, for the love of the art...not money.
This IS and ALWAYS HAS been one of my favourite tracks EVER!!!!!❤..... Great reaction.......smiling and dancing.....EXACTLY what it's all about😊! Keep them coming!!!x
I love the Brothers Johnson! Amazing song!!! I remember roller skating to this song as a child! We were so funny trying to literally stomp on skates! LOL! ❤️❤️
The Johnson Brothers played instruments on Michael Jackson's first two albums " Off the wall and Thriller for Quincy Jones. Plus many more artists that you've heard of.
You're cute! You're voice and vibe remind me of the very unique Miss Macy Gray. She's one of my role models. And thanks for acknowledging those background vocals. They are hauntingly awesome!!!

RIP to the Louis the bass player. So many people got on the dance floor to this song. This one of my jams.
The video is a neighborhood block party and you get to see the handsome brothers playing that guitar and funky slap bass!

The bass player Louis Johnson was on a bunch of hit albums back in the day including Thriller
Never knew that but surprised. That brutha was funky as hell!
The unmistakable sound of Quincy Jones' production!
I'm ashamed to say that I had been hearing this song for years, and only just started appreciating it about 4-5 years ago. I was sleeping on this one! So good.

Never too late, so to say

Sorry I missed this one. Simply one of the best songs ever.
The album was produced by Quincy Jones and some of the songs are by Rod Temperton, who wrote a number of Michael Jackson's hits and many for others as well. These two played on many Quincy Jones productions.
When it comes to this song, I always get out the bass speakers.

This, and “Disco Inferno” by The Trammps” were my favorites!!!!! Just so juicy!!!
🔥🔥
Reminds me of the school disco. Around 1980/81! :D
Great dancing beat!
I listen to this song everyday while I exercise. I like to flip my hair to that string part after they say, "all night".

Quincy released an album called "Jook Joint" in 1995 which included a very different but great version of "Stomp".
Do you hear this is a quincy jones production?? Very Off the wall" love it!!

Nice to see our young Girl vibed up by an all Time Club Classic ! Perhaps even your Dog would want to get down to this. xxxxx
Oh yeah this was a jam back in the day ❤️ another good one from them is"strawberry letter#23"✌️
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Stomp. Composer was a white man called (Rodney) Rod Temperton, from Grimsby England.
he produced songs for Michael Jackson's Off The Wall & Thriller
Alright! It's bop!
Another classic Soul hit produced by Quincy Jones. You have to watch the video for it.
Written by the late great. Rod Temperton

Empress already did react to strawberry letter..Bend a ear..Check it out
@@poppiethestable1090 Thanks, I checked out the Strawberry Letter 23 reaction and it was another winner from Empress!
It was Jermain
Brothers Johnson, not Jetson in subtitles.
You're reminded of Jermaine Jackson? Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson are participating on background vocals for this song, so that might explain it.
😂I know so random but that totally makes sense
Ain't No Corrida is another good song 👍
I love that song but no one can explain the title😄😄😄
Quincy Jones Production 🤚
Reminded you of Jackson stuff? Q produced them
Ah‼️‼️

You should have did the video so could appreciate it and Louis thumping that bass more
Everything funky ain't disco. You need to dig into the funk a little bit more. FUNK has it's own lane.
I had, I believe, their 1st album. Get the Funk & I'll Be Good to You, were both good commercial and musical tracks. Nothing legendary, but pleasant.
Brothers J... werent M.J. musicians ! (Bass & Guitar)
