Mc, 15sc, ssl into 1st chain and chain l , fasten off tie two end together and snip
You will have 5 petals 3 chains for each
Attach the white yarn and chain 4, into the same stitch do an unfinished dc meaning only slip through 2 loops once instead of twice.
Do 2 more unfinished dc into the same stitch
Into the the next stitch that fws do 3 unfinished dc pulling the yarn and only looping through 2
Repeat for the next chain.
Chain 4 and ssl into the next stitch and into the same stitch that you ssl you will start the next petal with the same pattern. 3 chains = 1 petal = 9 unfinished dc 3 in each chain sslt to finish last petal and fasten off.
Sew end with needle or hook to hide

This tutorial helped me make my first flower. I’ve been crocheting for 2 days now so for the fact I could make a flower already is amazing. However, I followed everything as you instructed but I came up to having 4 petals as supposed to 5. I don’t know why that is but I’ll try again in hopes I’ll get it the same as you did as 5 petals look better than 4. Either way, thanks for the tutorial🙏🏽. It deserves the 1M views☺️.

This looks really nice with a 2.0 mm afghan crochet hook paired with embroidery thread. I normally crochet small appliques/patches, bookmarks and the like with an ordinary 1.90 mm hook. The advantage of embroidery thread is the vast array of colors available. You just have to be a bit careful not to let it fray. If you buy it in bulk it's also cheaper that way 😊. The only thing I'd mention to be careful of (if you use pure cotton embroidery thread) is that it's easier to make a magic circle loop at the start with only one loop. Using a double loop will probably end up with accidentally creating a knot inside. 😢
