GR Micro Hades; GAS strings. Beast broadhead is ridiculous sharp w/chisel tip for mechanicals. Beasts are on back order, but worth it if you need a late season mechanical 🤘🏻 Good luck this season! PS, AAE HP vane if you’re running the exodus, or any fixed 3 or 4 blade. I’ve found they steer notably better 👍🏻 God Bless
@@wahoddad Thanks for the recommendations! The Micro Hades is definitely one I’m considering! I’ve also thought about those AAE vanes you mentioned. I may try a setup with those! Good luck this season and God bless!!
I shot threadzs for years with no issues... Most of the time when you have a separation there is caused from over-tightening the loop or using the loop to counter rotating strings. You can also have that issue if you waxed the string where the serving goes.. Clean all the wax off and reserve
@@csoultrain80 I appreciate the advice! However, I do not wax my strings much at all and avoid the serving entirely when waxing. My loop may be too tight. I’ll try to see if there is something I can do for that.
@@michaelvstheworld3680 Sounds like two great rigs! I’m thinking I’ll probably go back to Gas strings on my next set. I have yet to hear anything bad about them.
@@joelculpepperoutdoors4262 I've been told before that the loop shouldn't fray. The release has a burr if your loops frayed. Mine always fray though after a lot of shooting
@@brockpeck7073 I think mine is from shooting a lot. The 23 that broke was caused by a burr on the release so I am constantly checking mine. I just got a Pine Ridge loop on my bow so we will see how it holds up.
I’ve tried spot and stalk before but I haven’t ever figured out a good way to do it. For mobile hunting, I want to get a saddle. I’ve done it some with a lock on but it’s a lot of weight and work just to sit once or twice.
@@ryanr6656 Yeah. I just stopped waxing my strings at all after that happened. I used to do it every week or two but after the shop owner looked at me like I was lying when I told him that I just quit.
Im running sonic 6.0 in a 300 spin with standard inserts and 125 grain Sevr 1.5 hybrid and for fletching I’m running the 3 inch 2 white and one is red white and blue totally arrow weight is 432 grains this is without a lighted nock. I’m shooting around 286 fps and it’s very accurate. I am considering changing to the 4mm long range next year.
@@brandonneff3432 It’s so hard to beat those 6.0s! I thought about going to the 4mm long range but then I found the Victory RIPs. They are less expensive and I like the GPI and components better on the RIPs. Best of luck with whatever you choose to shoot!

I have a V3 31 as well and a TRX 34. Love my V3 31. Running 75# /75% LO / 29" draw. I only use GAS strings and never had any issues.

Catfish customs out of Michigan has phenomenal pricing and customer service. They use waxless, much lighter strings with bloodline VEC99 material.
@@Orr_s I may give those a try then! Thanks for the information!
I've used the Rips and Sonics
The Rips at 300 spine were awesome
The Sonics , to me , were on the fragile side. Grim Reaper Mini mags are unstoppable.

I think gas strings hold up the best. #23 loop material will last a little longer than #24
@@brockpeck7073 I’ve run #23 before. It’s the only material that actually broke and messed up my string.
@@joelculpepperoutdoors4262 I've never had a d loop break in my life. #24. is thicker and stiffer that's why it frays more.

I have a 75lb Mathews and I shoot "Vapor Trails" I do get some serving separation. maybe apply a bit of string wax prior to adding serving?
@@ryanr6656 I think the problem is too much wax. At least that’s what one pro shop owner said. But it shouldn’t be a continuous issue.
@@joelculpepperoutdoors4262 Could be. Wax is one those things that is nescesssary but we often use too much of. It makes strings heavy.

First string, or gas strings are what I’ve always ran with absolutely 0 issues.
