with all that water, you may need to trade in the tank for a boat.
Right, i dont know how much more rain dfw can take
You thank Veterans on Veterans Day. You remember dead Veterans on Memorial Day.
Sorry, i was at a losse on how to say thank in the video. that why i said that
@@TankRadio There's no need to be sorry for being a proud American, Tank. Hua.
We've been getting a lot of that rain up this way in North East Texas. Lake Tawakoni is right up there on it's level. Thinking about hitting Tawakoni State park here in the next couple of days for POTA
Hope it all went great. the lake here are flooded.
I ordered mine a week ago and can't wait to get it this summer.
its a great purchase, it wont disappoint
Good stuff Frank! 73!
Thank you sir
Did that couple nearby say anything to you? Maybe one should POTA in pairs, or if alone, from their vehicle. Stay safe! 73 de n0km
No, I talked to them off camera and did my best to get flirm them.
To keep the top cover near the mast, 3D-print a retaining ring with a string to tie to the cap. Eazee-peazee.
Great tip!
Zip tie and some braided copper or superline would save the time b working out the details, print. Etc..
Look at a Stuaff (parklamp)clamp around $2.28. You can pick it up at The Wilson Company locally.
I wish I could send you a picture and all the antennas I use them on.
Did you mean Stauff?
My German spelling is not too good...lol
Yes, I use the Stauff clamp to install the diy arrow j-pole antenna to my tower and 1-1/4 TV mast. They would work great to install a tent stake to the pota 20 push-up mast.
Frank, look up a "tiki torch stake" for holding the mast in open ground. I have the SOTA beamcarbon 6.. I used 550 to hold my lid in place ..
Will doo
@@TankRadio // Also Frank, in one of your vids you mentioned Glass Insulators....Ever find one yet ? DE W4EMB..
Awesomeness!!
It is, great additional to a pota pack
I already have a DX Commander 10 meter mast, and from Spiderbeam I have 2 of the 7 meter, a short pack 10 meter, the 12 meter, and the 18 meter... my wife said no more masts... she doesn't care what it's made of! Oh the humanity....
Each mast fill an unique roll in your radio life. Thats why this one covers the 20ft perfectly
@TankRadio but the wife just doesn't understand... there's always my birthday though! Lol, seriously, I like the look of this thing!
Its like...they made the Explorer mast to fit the Explorer pack!
LOL, yup. go firgues
Sotabeams has supplied those for years. POTA people always act like they're discovering something. #SOTA4Life
Thanks for the video. what is the collapsed length?
16"
~17.25 with the cap on
Now put it up against the 40' Spiderbeam hihi
lol, right
Brings a 20lb radio to operate QRP. #SMDH
Sometimes that's all we have friend. All I have is my FT-710, you best believe I'm taking it everywhere for now.
Any radio can be a qrp station, just turn the power down. then we are playing the same game. But it doesn't matter what radio you use. As long we are having fun
agreed
Hey! DARREN Rhymes with KAREN..and you must do a lot of high endurance long range SOTA with your 4 ounce NASA ground station...bwhahaha 😀
\o/
Tanker @kevpaq
do the same frank
it is a great day alot of great contacts
Height not Heigth.....
It seems as though there are a lot of Americans that pronounce this word incorrectly.
interesting point. i will have to thinkon that one
It is not just a new colloquialism. It was in fact the Old and Middle English term for the quality of being high for many centuries (under various spellings) before height entered the language in the 16th century,1 and the newer form didn't achieve its modern prevalence until the late 19th century.
