@@julianphilosophy Just saw this, but I do appreciate it! It actually pushed me into a career where I help people in a pretty critical way strangely enough.
One of the worst part about loving relationships are those situations where one person allows multiple loves while the other does not. Its this peculiar situation of justice not existing, because the things that has to be judged are so private and can be exploited by both parties. So one has to believe in love and/or one has to have grown up with loving relationships as example.
Here's my story. I was in a relationship with a man for a year, found myself in love with him a few months in it, told him got an answer that he doesn't wants to be in love with me or anyone, still stayed for 3 more months then I asked him again if there was at least a chance of us being together in the future, negative answer from him and i left. I think I made the right choice but sometimes it feels like i gave up on love. The most painful decision I've made, any advices?
I'd say you didn't give up on love , you were tired of being able to show that you can love them . Sooner or later you'll feel empty about the decision you've made but trust me its good and you've tried , its all that matters the most . Whatever it takes to show that we are able to love unconditionally the exact opposite will be needed to be loved unconditionally , its confusing but it is what I've analysed.
I´m from Argentina. The girl in the photo was Zizek´s bride and she was argentinian too. Actually she is something of a nameless persona cause of a very popular song here called "flaca" by Andrés Calamaro wich was written to her. Also Zizek lived here. Saludossss
Baumann you s a favorite, even though he always just adds ‘liquid’ to everything 😂 so glad you’re enjoying the lectures. They’re a delight for me to film. I don’t like getting up so early but they always make me feel energized for the week ahead
Hej Juian, if love has so much to do with trust and reciprocity, what's the difference between love and partnership? Love seems to imply a certain level of romance, of sexual attraction, but I don't see that being the topic here in this discussion.
From Žižek’s perspective it would be that love occurs in a contingent fashion and yet is only ‘true’ love if it is experienced retroactively as necessity
By all the gods dude, I tried to watch this and it seemed genuinely interesting but you take a million years to get to the topic. No one cares about your shared work table or your relationship with your wife. I haven't heard a single thing about Žižek and I have been typing this comment slowly.
My goodness, you really are glowing, dude! Keep up the divine vibes
I think dude forgot to clean his webcam

the trait you loved most about them is what you should look for in yourself.

Interesting. But is love necessary or contingent?
