Hey everyone! This was an all-levels routine where the theme of the class was "HOW TO RETAIN CHOREOGRAPHY".
It was a last minute decision to do this song and to make the routine complex, but WOW was it amazing to see the entire class pick up and retain a complicated routine SO WELL!
Even beginner dancers were killing it!
This was filmed at "NIGHT OF DANCE", which is an event I do that includes several classes in one night with a sense of community, education, networking & fun!
I'll be teaching this routine AGAIN at upcoming events, starting FEBRUARY 1st in NEW YORK, then FEBRUARY 14th in LA again!

Galen not only has exceptional technique and genius mind for choreography, but she is also an amazing performer. I can never take my eyes off of her when she's in a group. If I ever had the dream of a lifetime to take a class with one professional teacher it would be Galen. I mean... It's a good day when I don't trip or stub my toe but a girl can dream :)

she is MAGIC on camera. I love her choreography so much. It’s so unique.
Who else feels like they can dance when they watch Galen dance because it looks so effortless but trying it out is a whole totally different situation... I need to hit the gym....

I love how all of galen’s choreo has such a way of commanding your attention it’s so captivating and I live for it
When I saw "Galen Hooks", I clicked SO FAST. I absolutely love everything that Galen does and this choreography was no different. She is so precise and technical in everything she does, yet she doesn't appear robotic (unless it's in the choreo for "Human" lol). The dancers were great. Also, I thought this was filmed really well and got excited when I saw "Filmed by Donovan/Rudeboy Entertainment". Fantastic job, all around!
Her choreography is so intricate and unexpected and yet it still HITS. I’m always glued to the screen watching her routines.
Galen and the girl in the second group in black killed it - both of their moves were so fluid
The middle girl in second group was the best. Head movement and everything else on point. Too bad the girls behind her couldn’t keep up with her tight moves.

OMG Galen is insane. Choreography is so visually stunning. Props to the Camera man who captures moving art and the essence of the dance and the mood. I love the second girl she is sooo stunning gorgeous and just is a mood.
the guy in the middle, and in the last group the girl in the middle had me mesmerized. for some reason I kept picturing the black girl in some kind of dark vampire movie, love her eyes
The way you danced the a pale on the lyric and beat and gave us 3 amazing dance breaks is 😍😍😍 I love your musicality in all things
The still moments speak just as loud as the big move my moments! Hooks is genuine at keeping and building intensity in both! The "Hooks" stare is just mesmerizing! Head slide is soooo on point and undervalued by most choreographers. You got me girl!!!!
There’s something about this choreography that’s so fascinating to watch. It’s so simple yet super controlled and powerful. Damn
Nobody can seems to do it better than Galen herself. Her students might have the skills but not the charisma and aura that she has. Her power to captivate in her performance is breathtaking. The others move unnaturally as if confined by the steps like puppets, but Galen moves as if the steps flows through her without thoughts, naturally and effortlessly.

probably because she's not a very talented choreographer or dancer, so she has to stick to beginner moves and pass it as 'artsy'

Such a diverse group of dancers each with their own style. I had to rewatch Galen just to confirm it was the same routine. An absolutely wonderful piece of work.
