i just find it funny that some hundred people are on stage pouring their hearts out saying "he rose" and the audience is sitting down doing nothing. Your eternity and delight are bound in those two words! Stand up and praise the lord!

The judges, I feel sorry for you, think, think, and think that God takes pleasure in what you speak. I am not a Baptist, but I think God is pleased with the praise, and that's what it looks like they are doing, just think so many other singers in praise of himself and you will applaud.

For those about to comment. Please understand, when we are in this corperate worship. We are not meant to please man. But we are to lift the name of God. Nothing more, nothing less.
And each christian church has their own unique style of bringing the word of God through music.

@thedaddyof3girls I apologize, I can't really judge since I haven't gone. But they stood to applause like a performance. My question is why the dichotomy. Like 200 people are standing a praising but the audience isn't that I can tell here. If we set the choir in the audience would they act the same? What difference does it make being on a stage. Similarly what difference does it make being in the church or being in the work place?

No matter where the people in the choir were, when the times call for praising and worshiping God they would be on their feet. When the Power of the Spirit of God and any words proclaiming who Jesus is and what He has done for mankind, those who are called of God will stand and worship.
