      No, he is just fed up with all these "feminists" who don't understand how fascist they and their beliefs are and that most people are actually egalitarian (equality) but don't even know it because feminists spread BS about what they are since forever to cloud easily impressed people to follow them until they some day wake up embarrassed.

    There are a lot of people who are upset about the whole "feminists vs. sexists" bits. I'm sure the definition of feminism maisie was given was something along the lines of: equality between men and women. And she's right, most people in civilized countries do fall into that category. You're hating on a completely different set of people here.

    • @samshorto5433
      @samshorto5433 8 лет назад

      Shut the fuck up about things you know nothing about. Feminism IS about men's issues as well as women's. It's about ridding the world of an ideal of masculinity that says men can't have emotions, men have to like sport, war, and beer and aren't allowed to like dancing, cooking, and cocktails, men have to be the sole provider for their family and not have the time to engage with their children because that's the woman's job. Feminism is fundamentally about the freedom to choose to live your life exactly how you want to live it. You want be a stay at home mum? Fine. You want to be a male nurse. Fine. You want to be a female soldier. Also fine. How the fuck can you argue with having choice?

    • @samshorto5433
      @samshorto5433 8 лет назад

      Tldr: Feminism nowadays isn't about fighting formal inequality, it's about challenging the continued sexism and disadvantages women face in the home, workplace, and public space. Discrimination doesn't end because it becomes illegal e.g. Civil Rights in the US.
      Actual argument: Right. So if feminism is just freedom of choice, why don't you agree with it? Of course you're quite content with the classical interpretation of Liberalism and Egalitarianism, because it serves you very well as a (presumably, apologies if I'm wrong) straight white male. But it can't do anything to change entrenched social values, and that's what third wave feminism is fighting. It's not about formal equality and rights under the law, because by and large the western world has that type of equality. But feminism is still needed, because women face a plethora of issues that clearly, the classical interpretations of Liberalism and Egalitarianism have not solved, just in the western world. For example:
      1) 25% of women experience domestic violence in their lifetimes. and have to wait an average of three years to get help.
      2) Catcalling on the streets, which is nothing to do with sex and everything to do with intimidation.
      3) Trafficking and sexual exploitation - 98% of sexual trafficking victims are women
      4) Rape, and a ridiculously low conviction rate. In the UK, over 85,000 rapes are reported every year, and yet there are just over 1,000 convictions. Furthermore, when a women is in court, she is often asked questions like "What were you wearing?" or "How much had you drunk?", as if that had any fucking bearing on her right to not be raped.
      5) Gender pay gap - another UK study found that women make on average £2.53 less per hour than men. Many other studies have shown women earn far less than men over their lifetimes, as they are passed over for promotion, are less likely to push for higher wages, and are expected to bear the brunt of child-rearing.
      6) Breastfeeding women are constantly told to leave establishments, or to cease breastfeeding, because it's apparently indecent.
      7) Less than 20% of Britain's MPs are women. That's a lower rate than Afghanistan.
      One right men have and women don't is the right to walk around topless in summer. I know this might seem like a minor thing, but it's part of a larger problem where women's bodies are objectified to the point where they aren't allowed to be in the same state of undress as men in public places, because it's classed as publicly indecent.
      And one more thing - why is it that you're so keen to dismiss feminism on the basis of the Western world? Why don't the lives of women living outside the west matter to you?
      Look, I understand that there is basically formal equality between the sexes. But discrimination doesn't end when a law is made to prevent it. Look at Civil Rights in the States. Do you honestly think black people in the US were treated the same as white people, and had no disadvantages compared to them, just because it was written in to law? There is no difference with sexism.

      +varun009 Why?

    • @isaytheenay5961
      @isaytheenay5961 8 лет назад

      Sam shorto, such a standard of masculinity doesn't exist outside of teenagers, fatherless boys, and insecure blowhards. Being a man isn't about walking around burping and talking about boobs, forgetting to shower and breaking things around the house while the wife rolls her eyes and fixes everything for you. You know, the image that is shown in feminist rom-com caricatures of masculinity (funny how feminists LOVE to insult masculinity and define it FOR US, but refuse to let femininity be defined).
      Masculinity is about remaining strong in the face of adversity (because a weak man is a burden on his family) and being brave enough to show weakness, when it helps those around you (such as telling your children you are scared too, sometimes). Masculinity is about standing for your ideals, when it is wise. It's about taking care of your family, and never giving up on those you love. It's about having patience, and about being slow to anger. It's about working hard, and leading by example.
      There is nothing to change. The modern feminist definition of a man is an insult to the men who came before, who died in wars, and who paid for our freedom with their blood. They didn't hide in a safe space when offended, and didn't cry and sob when action was called for. They didn't complain that it wasn't acceptable to wear a skirt, or that people disliked when they cried and moaned about trivial things. That ideal wasn't even on their radar - it was a luxury they couldn't afford. Such men understood that some things are so important, as to be worth dying for. You think they needed to change to the feminist version of masculinity?? Lucky us, that better men existed in those days. And there will be no help for us, should our nations be filled with such 'men' in the future.

      actually that is the right answer,Shailene's. men traits are power in everything they do and women traits are body traits to help them mate with the best male.Nature or God(whatever u prefer) made it like this. men be strong, women be attractive. Also, every normal woman out there, even those that call themselves feminists, dress and in such way to attract and create sexual tension, like every woman ever since humans exist.we were always like this. All this anti-sexism movement is just some bullshit from retarded people with too much time on their hands and a lot less logic in their heads.bad combination.

      @ Aurelia
      If someone isn’t capable of attacking my arguments without attacking me as a person, they’re not worth debating.You are trying to counter my arguments with false arguments,you provided unrequested information or advices that are in no way related to the topic.that shows how highly undeveloped emotionaly you are as a person.Using ad hominem attacks in a debate shows lack of arguments and logical response.Also,as a side note, i can easy respond to your claim that "all men does that(jerk off)" by stating that also women do that.I have nothing against female sexuality in any shape or form as i find it a natural trait of humans regardless of gender.You used that trait typical to humans in a derogatory way,therefore showing how superficial you are and how low your knowledge about human nature is.If i were to use your type of logic and adding that you are a woman, i should say "all women are immature beings that lack the inteligence to carry a debate based on reasoning rather than emotional distress". Of course i know better,i am an adult,so it would be out of my way of thinking to refrain to such faulty logic and worse, use of ad hominem attacks without even touching the topic at hand.You are a bad example of woman model.I know 99% of the women are better than that,so obviously i wont add this experience as an accepted trait of female emotional nature.this generally belongs to child psichology were a child that asks to be taken to the zoo,after the answer "Sorry,i am too busy today",he will say "You are just mean!". I hope you can in the future refrain from using this type of logic or rather ,non-logic,which is obviously based on bad past experience and comes from a weak,unstable and immature emotional background.You seem to be a VERY beautiful and sexy girl and i am sure you have some good sides too.I am sorry that i failed to express myself in a way to be understood well,i do have my faults and i intend to fix them as much as i can.If someone ever hurt your feelings and made you loose trust in people,i am also sorry.life is hard,sometimes there is nothing we can do and be sure whatever happend that made you so sad,it's not your fault.I hope you find the strenght to admit we are not perfect,but we can refrain from projecting our emotional pain onto others.We all have crosses to carry.peace to you and whoever raised you.and regarding about "jerk off for 4 hours" ,well i usually last 5 minutes on first time if i have a very sexy looking girl,and next 2-3 times go up to 15-20 minutes.4 hours in one go is quite hard.but i can do it with enough breaks.If you know so less about male sexuality but want to improve and learn more,we can meet at a cup of coffee and talk on a more rational and mature note.I see you have a romanian name .if you are in Romania and feel the need to explore more about us guys,you can give me the oportunity to advocate for others and patiently show you whatever you wish to learn.I will for sure give you the opportunity to show me that you only talk bad when you are mad and in rest you are a very inteligent and deep thinking woman.If you think we can do this,leave here your facebook adress.i will write you at least a "hello" and see were we can go from that.bye.

      +DutchDread Like it should be. She is completely right. You are either someone who supports all people having equal rights or... you are a bigot. Feminism tries to label the people supporting all people having equal rights as the new bigots.

    • @Thaleya1
      @Thaleya1 8 лет назад

      +DutchDread it's pro real feminism/equality and anti-feminism today. It's also wise in a regard to stop bickering about being a feminist or not, creating unnessesary hate between to roups that are often really on the same side - both for equality....Today the word feminist and the people hating on feminists because they feel offended or have difficulty putting themselvesin the averigae womans shoes....those are the ones creating more and more polarized sides and making pure equality something standoffish sadly.

    • @DutchDread
      @DutchDread 8 лет назад +5

      Thaleya1 The problem is that by creating a word for something that doesn't need a word like "someone who believes in equality", you are really creating a group, a box.
      And certain people go into that box, they look at how the box looks, and at the other people in the box and they find similarities other than just "believing in equality". Eventually some people in the box don't like some of these trends and do not want to share the same box.

    • @DutchDread
      @DutchDread 8 лет назад +7

      ***** Not only that, but it also perpetuates the idea that there is only one form of sexism, the kind women experience, and that if you don't experience that same kind of sexism, then you don't experience sexism.
      It ignores the fact that men face different but equally important problems.

    • @Thaleya1

      +Jack Maclean Hmm... Maybe it's because women are actually under-privileged? In some countries women have to obey their fathers, brothers or husbands. They can't study nor work. They can't decide what to do with their bodies or their lives. Even in the First World there's a strong sexism. Where can I start? For example, women earn less than men, and usually aren't hired because of their gender. Also, it isn't well seen that a woman is a man's boss. What else? Should I talk about stereotypes? About how bad is it seen for a woman to do "male" stuff or work at a "male job" or to not look like enough "feminine"? Or the same with guys doing "girly" things or not being "man enough"? Should I talk about sexual objectification, rape, gender violence or sexual harassment? Still there are men that treat women like if they were possessions or inferior people. Feminism is still needed 'cause there's no gender equality yet.

    • @fluidfnbr
      @fluidfnbr 8 лет назад +5

      Aitana García not in those countries but in north america sexism is looked down upon i dont get why feminist dont concentrate on those parts of the world that need it instead of going overboard in countries that accept women as equal

The two biggest were the middle(upper)-class/civil section, who fought for equal rights, like the right to vote and to be formally acknowledged as equal, and the proletarian section who fought for the same wages and real equality. Feminism is actually, like almost everything in the world, quite complex.

      no, almost everyone is a feminist by the dictionary definition. (and everyone should be.)
      there is no reason to think that maisie is a neo-progressive feminist, the very next sentence she said was omitted in this video:
      _Because it works the other way, as well: A lot of men have
      it hard too._
      have you ever heard any of the crazy feminists concede that?

    • @lokilaufeyson276
      @lokilaufeyson276 8 лет назад +6

      Here0s0Johnny " no, almost everyone is a feminist by the dictionary definition."
      Yes, but as anyone would know dictionary definition does not always apply, for example, faggot means a bundle of sticks however it used to describe a homosexual man in slang. Feminism may mascaraed itself as "equality" yet the third wave feminist movement has been hijacked by Social Justice Warriors who act as though almost all men are oppressing women.
      "(and everyone should be.)"
      Nice... using that whole tactic to make people class themselves as feminists in order to bring more people into the group. So tell me, why should everyone be a feminist?
      "there is no reason to think that maisie is a neo-progressive feminist,"
      Yes there is, the fact that she is showing the argumentative tactics of a third wave radical feminist gives us great reason that Maisie is a third wave feminazi. "Everyone should be a feminist, because you're sexist if you're not" is honestly the argument of a two year old, it shows immaturity and the inability to see past black and white which is really annoying.
      "the very next sentence she said was omitted in this video:
      _Because it works the other way, as well: A lot of men have
      it hard too._"
      Indeed, but simply saying that doesn't mean they actually care, for example, Onision constantly talks about how great feminism is as well as how it is about equality, yet he makes many videos about how great women are in comparison to men and constantly allows women to walk all over him and acts like the whole of mankind should allow women to become more superior than men.
      "have you ever heard any of the crazy feminists concede that?"
      Yes, as I stated before, Onision.

      right, and the definition of a Christian is "a person who believes in the teachings of Jesus Christ" but you don't see every christian joining the KKK, attacking gay people or supporting neo-nazi parties.....similarly, the textbook definition of feminism means equality for women... not every feminist is joining the radical feminist movement.

      i'm not a feminist. i hate SJWs as much as the next guy.
      i'm just saying that maisie may not be a SJW feminist but merely a dictionary-definition-feminist.
      _Yes there is, the fact that she is showing the argumentative tactics of a third wave radical feminist gives us great reason that Maisie is a third wave feminazi._
      i don't think so. i think it's her being naive. she said in the interview that she didn't know what a feminist was before.
      _Indeed, but simply saying that doesn't mean they actually care, for example, Onision constantly talks about how great feminism is as well as how it is about equality, yet he makes many videos about how great women are in comparison to men and constantly allows women to walk all over him and acts like the whole of mankind should allow women to become more superior than men._
