In a candid interview, rapper The Game, speaks about his high school experiences in Compton, California, including his early initiation into gang life. Reflecting on his introduction to gang life, he recalls following the footprints of his older brothers. One challenging aspect of his youth involved attending Compton High School, known to be predominantly occupied by rival gang members. Regardless, The Game maintained his alliances and successfully moved up the ranks while simultaneously juggling his love for basketball. Despite the rivalries, there seemed to be an unspoken understanding among those who grew up in the same neighborhood, granting some immunity against internal violence. Even with the struggles and potentially dangerous implications, The Game portrays his life in Compton as an integral part of shaping him into the person he is today.

The most enjoyable part of this clip for me was him laughing about his 16 year old son just wanting to play video games. The sincere joy of being able to provide a lifestyle where your kid can just be a kid. Something we should all strive for

Very good album but The Documentary, cuz of 50, was a classic. He wrote 3 top 10 songs in HowvWe ado, Hate it or Love It , Higher, and the xhrurch 4 thugs, special, and Westside Connection. Wm with wr again. Put ya on the hame with Timbaland. Dreams with Kanye . Most the album was written by 50 and produced by some of the best. He rapped his ass off on some of these songs though.

I stayed across the street from Compton high school, you can’t hide your affiliation. Banging start for most in Compton start in elementary school and jr high school. If nobody knew means you was a nobody. You’ll get ran out the school day 1 if you was a enemy
Very few people can remember what it’s like growing up in a bad neighborhood and you try to stay out of it, but you may have brothers or cousins who are knee-deep in it and you’re guilty by association. Game has said many times how he was a basketball player and stayed out of things for the most part but his dad and his brothers were part of it so eventually he picked up the rag and started banging. He was lucky that he was talented and didn’t have to put in too much work, and now he’s a millionaire with Plaques on his wall. It’s your fault if you believed he was the meanest biggest blood ever in history from Compton.

The game had three excellent west coast classics The Documentary, Doctors Advocate and LAX and they are top top tier records. Enough to retire to and leave behind three classics. Biggie always said you’ve max three albums/stories to tell. Thats it. I loved the game in the 2005+2009 music but rap changed to Chicago and Atlanta rap 2011 onwards. Thats what became played everywhere.

He's one of the most highly respected rappers amongst his peer group that he came up with in the game. Listen to some of the quality of work this guy laid down over several albums.
