some navy units were still using m1s up until the early 2000s. and us navy seals still wear m1 helmet liners during BUDs training. its a shame you restored the m1c helmet. it would be worth more as it had been than restored. post ww2 m1cs are quite collectable. the m1c modification is what drove the switch to swivel bales as its the research for a replacement that led to swivel bales. this is why some of the 1st swivel bales seen in combat units are m1cs in airborne units. great video!
ive been told by vets that some us navy gunners were also issued paraliners as it made the helmet more stable when scanning the sky. have not been able to confirm this with pics however so take with a grain of salt.
@@bardacu.89 we already have one on the channel, later I will do an airborne( depends on the mailing services) and maybe an infantry one will also be made
Great video, very informative, but i hope your accent is not a spin off of fps, because while it may appeal to 13 year olds, it makes it hard to understand what you're saying without having to keep rewinding the video. If that's your actual voice than i apologize, but considering that this is a airsoft channel, i have my doubts.
great video. many photos and video i have never seen before. thanks

JSDF wore M1 Helmet derivatives instead of the newer kevlar helmets during the rescue operation after the 311 earthquake.
Thanks man. This was just what I needed
i have seen two photos of Marines in Vietnam with airborne helmet liners. Have you seen any info about this? Common or rare?
To be honest I never interested in Marines in Vietnam, but I can say that I saw infantry pictures with para helmets.
