      This film was FAN-TAS-TIC like the Micheal Giacianno Score! Baby Franklin and his mother made me almost legit cry 5 times, the movie was phenomenal. Galactus was a menace in the best possible way. Shalla-Bal was portrayed in a sympathetic way with her flashback scene. That scene was other worldly, literary, the way it was filmed, Shalla-Bal’s flashback scene was captured in a hazy aesthetic. Wow just wow

      @Subject_KeterSue is extremely powerful. She's a pacifist so she tends to only use her skills defensively.
      However, with that being said. The surfer trumps all of them. They can get licks in and slow the surfer down, but have no chance of defeating or stopping SS.

      It felt organic and like the right thing. But yeah that was a shocker for a marvel movie!
      But hear me out, that decision, right or not…showed the malice in sue…could it be amplified after her resurrection?
      Enough to align with Doom?

Even though he’s the world’s smartest man, he’s nervous about becoming a father and has to balance his commitment to the world with his commitment to his son and family. And get well soon Charlie, believe me I know what you are going through because currently I also lost my voice due to flu.

    I'm SO happy that the end of the movie wasn't the F4 run away from their earth destruction and them being in the MCU universe. They'll get there... but the aging up of Franklin, is huge cause another decade or more can now go by before the land in the MCU proper. Rather than being a baby during Doomsday. I'm sure he has a HUGE roll to play in the conclusion of the MCU as we know it and to assist in the soft reboot at the end of Secret Wars. Also it's great cause it explains the 'new ship' that we saw at the end of Thunderbolts*.
    My FAVOURITE thing by far is the fact they didn't ruin heavy moments with a quip from a character. They're starting to treat the audience with respect and understand what has been a. part of MArvel/SUperhero movie fatigue.
    Had a great time on thusday's fan premiere and can't wait for Spider-Man next year and see how they commit to the change they know they need to make.
    Hope everyone who saw it had fun!

      Actually Big G eats his ship after the heroes damage his planet eater machine. Then Doom steals G's massive energies as he is absorbing them. This all because Doomsie hitched a ride with Galactus to challenge the Beyonder in issue #1. With this as a blueprint it might be a way for Doom to challenge Loki in Dommsday.

    This movie was BUSY with so many easter eggs. Definitely did not go the way I expected it to with the way they beat Galactus. I loved that Reed was able to keep coming up with backup plans even when I thought they were gonna have to jump universes and say screw the earth, which I'm glad did not end up being the ending. Wouldn't it suck if the first time we saw this team on screen, and they actually lost and let their world die while they ran away? We all thought that's what was happening, but now that's it's not I'm actually way happier about it. They didn't beat Galactus, just dealt with him, as they have a handful of times in the comics. The chemistry was great, I love how much they gave Johnny to do and how important it ended up being. The only personal complaint I have, is Reed not using his powers to do more than just stretch his limbs. No coiling, twisting, flattening, he didn't even stretch his neck. Again, very personal nitpick, it's a "Fantastic" (haha) movie overall. It's about on par with superman for me, they both do different things that they both set out to do. Both of them sit around an 8.5 for me. F4 might edge it out, but that's just character biased.

    • @AffinityKRC
      @AffinityKRC 7 months ago +1

      F4 was better than Superman. F4 keep a single target throughout the movie, "save the kid and save the world". Superman story line keep changing like a moving post. For example the Kaiju fight in Superman was silly and didn't added anything to the story.

      I was lowkey hoping they’d lose, it would have made the movie way more interesting and intense especially considering they’ve always won their previous battles with the montage in the beginning. I was hoping they’d lose or if they’d won at least face an incursion event that would’ve somehow forced them to travel to a different universe (like 616). I honestly felt underwhelmed by it and the hype leading up to it only made me feel less satisfied by the film. It’s still a good movie, but it wasn’t as interesting as I was expecting. It just felt like a regular superhero movie where the hero wins, the villain (Shala Bal) decides to become good and help the hero’s, the lesson is family and it just felt cheesy. I actually thought sue dies and even tho that would’ve sucked it would’ve made for (at least) an interesting twist, but sike. We don’t even see her bleed from overusing her powers like in the trailer. It went from what we got in Thunderbolts to essentially a children’s movie

    • @jonanddy
      @jonanddy 7 months ago +2

      @AffinityKRC Superman was far, far better. The story line didn’t keep changing, it dealt with personal identity and purpose while showing us a glimpse of the life of Superman during a his first loss that just kept getting worse and worse, but by the end of the movie he persevered through it all and came out on top. Below the surface it’s a movie about hope, while on the surface it’s about Lex wanting to finally trap and kill Superman. It was much more intense and existential in that regard while making it entertaining and visually aesthetic. Both movies were great, but Superman was so much more interesting by far.

    Longtime FF fan. I was quite pleased with the film. Surprisingly, Joseph's portrayal of Johnny was my favorite part! He has a lot of charisma on-screen, and they had a great script for him. In fact, all the roles were very strong. I was worried! But it all came together very well. I think as a father, the storyline and tension of the second act was the best part. Sure it wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed the fan payoff. Galactus, cosmetically, was phenomenal and I liked how his ship, and his integration into it etc was reminiscent of Jack Kirby's "crackling energy" and cosmic machinery. If you 've ever read the original Secret Wars series, you learn a lot about Galactus, his ship, and you see an encounter between him and Reed. Afterwards, despite the hopelessness of it all, Reed determines to fight him anyway on Battleworld, in hopes he can see his newborn son, Franklin when he gets home.

When he saw the first pages of the Galactus storyline, he asked Jack, “Who’s that guy on the surfboard?” Jack said, “That’s the Silver Surfer. I figured someone as powerful as Galactus would need a herald.” (This is an anecdote that Stan told many times.)

    Ngl, I was a bit worried about this movie before I watched it. After I left, I genuinely loved it. Everyone was so cohesive, and they showcased their strengths. It felt like a real family movie. Reed was a great father figure and they also did great highlighting his intellect, Sue was an absolute strong mother figure in being nurturing and protective of her baby, and also being empathetic to the world, Johnny and Ben were great uncles and showcasing Ben’s strength and being a ride or die for Reed, and Johnny actually showing his wits with deciphering silver surfers language. They all contributed and felt like no one was left out
