Loved this video. If you upgrade your military academy to full, the AI just gets melted even if they outnumber you 10x. You can easily demolish coalitions of 30+ countries with 5 full armies and fully upgraded academy, I recommend playing on harder difficulties, as you saw, once you snowball and have 100+ income per second, it is over for the AI, coalitions only pose a threat at the start of the game. As a framework for mods though (Which is what AOH2 was), it's very good. Easier to mod than HOI4 and EU4, and bugs are getting fixed. (Vassals switching sides no longer happens.). Creating scenarios is incredibly easy. Coldwar and "What if Germany won WW2" scenarios were on the steam workshop in only days of the game being released, aswell as recreations of HOI4 mods like Kaiserreich. Resource buildings (Grain farms, etc. Buildings that can be only built in certain provinces) are way too overpowered though, and if you just build every resource building, you'll be number 1 economy decently fast. Legacies are a bit underused, you'll finish the legacy upgrades very easy, in 200 or so years as most countries, and advantage points feel a bit out of place. No attrition and (I believe) no terrain modifiers make the wars way less strategic than EU4 or HOI4 unfortunately. There are no events to steer the game into a historical direction like EU4, causing scenarios like WW2, WW1 and modern day to devolve into random wars that make no sense. The only scenario with events is WW2, which actually has Germany doing anschluss, demanding Sudetenland, and invading Poland all through events. HRE mechanic is also underdeveloped, you can just annex every HRE country if you reach the end of the HRE 'focus tree', HRE electors and members needed to like you in EU4 to pass reforms, in AOH3 there are no special requirements, besides 'have X money, have X researched.' You can easily form HRE by 1500, if you play your cards right. Many small mods that add new ideologies, tweak the battle system, add new buildings, etc. Are already popping up, along with a bunch of small changes like not having that alliance cap of 1 per country, and allowing you to take provinces from every participant of wars. Very excited for the future of this game!
I managed to create the Hanseatic League in 620 or so. Just built every resource.building there is, and steam roll my neighbours. Having high research helps too, I already managed to research Cannons 😂
Amandus I really recommend playing with some of these mods from the workshop: Tiny Plugin Tiny Missions Plugin (Depends on 'Tiny Plugin') Releasable Cores: Vassal Expansion Take Provinces From Enemy Allies in a Peace Treaty Special Map Background When Zoomed Out Lord's flag over the vassal's flag TWO SMALL QOL TIP: Hold down the mouse scroll and you will be able to multi-select units, provinces in peace deals, and build/invest/increase growthrate/increase tax efficiency. The 'Crisis Resolution' Legacy gives you less aggressive expansion.
Here is a little hint In the options menu before starting a game, there is an option to call your vassals into war, turn it on in order to call vassals/puppet states into your war
In order to add your vassals you need to go to configuration and call vassals before starting the game, and also the only map I have seen with events is the Second World War map.
if you want to have way more then just download mods from the workshop + the game is still getting updates so its gonna be very well developed in the future
Depends, it has a lot of replayability, different civis, different empires/civis that are implemented and can create, you can also make your own "map", with your own civis if you have the time and patience, also the workshop is fully alive

You did pretty damn good on your first game! It just shows that investing into your nation actually pays off when empire building.
Amandus I really recommend playing with some of these mods from the workshop:
Tiny Plugin
Tiny Missions Plugin (Depends on 'Tiny Plugin')
Releasable Cores: Vassal Expansion
Take Provinces From Enemy Allies in a Peace Treaty
Special Map Background When Zoomed Out
Lord's flag over the vassal's flag
TWO SMALL QOL TIP:
Hold down the mouse scroll and you will be able to multi-select units, provinces in peace deals, and build/invest/increase growthrate/increase tax efficiency.
The 'Crisis Resolution' Legacy gives you less aggressive expansion.
I'll probably play 1 more vanilla game since I haven't done any modern campaigns and then I might do QOL mods or the big ones
