I feel the same... I expected a lot from this performance but I'm extremely disappointed. It was just Kei/Sujeong as usual, with some Jin/Yein on the side. I understand why Kei might sing most of the song since she's the best singer in the group but Sujeong? Nothing against her but Jin and Baby Soul are more stable, there's no reason for her to sing as much as she does in literally every song. I was really looking forward to the rap part but it was like 5 seconds long and Jisoo said two words total... And Mijoo and Jisoo almost didn't get any screentime at all :S If they're going to make only a few members sing then there's no point sending the whole group to the show tbh

Have you watched her performance of Fly High with Infinite H? Soul was the most stable in the group when they debuted and I think she's still on par with Kei when it comes to stability now. Give her songs that are suitable for her, she might even surpass Kei. Her high notes are also the most pleasant to listen to, imo. So I don't get what you're saying at all. This stage is awesome but I'm really dissapointed at the same time ... Kei and Sujeong are singing the majority of the song and totally outshined the rest ... why is the DANCE LINE in the backround the whole time ... Mijoo and Jiae didn't get screentime even they can sing so well and I think Mijoo is even better than Yein and Jisoo needs some rap parts for her alone I would bring the vocal line (Kei, Jin, Sujeong and Baby Soul) that Jin and Baby Soul get more parts or at least all members and every girl can get one or two parts This is the reason why some people things the non-vocal-line can't sing because Woollim always give Kei and Sujeong 50% of the song, Jin and Baby Soul 35% (Jin sometimes gets more than Sujeong) and the rest 15% Woollim really needs to change that or they can make the non-vocal-line as rap-line but they really need to shine more

I can't help but agree. As proud as I am about their performance, I can't help but feel a bit disappointed with the line distribution. And no, I don't think it's a case of Kei and Sujeong fitting the song more than the others, since JIN's part sounded really nice. It's not about stability either, since Soul is more stable than Sujeong. So... I don't know. It's kinda sad how it's always KeiJeong feat. the remaining six members whenever they cover songs (their a cappella covers, Running/Relay, and then there's the cover of Rain and the song by Jewelry which was just KeiJeong + back-up dancers). Regardless, Kei and Sujeong smashed the song, so all's well and good (not exactly, but I don't want to incur the wrath of other fans).
I agree. Woollim continually does this and its so frustrating. They're so biased towards some members over the others. Kei is already on Girl Spirit so shouldn't they also showcase their 2nd main vocal Jin in this a little more??
Eventho my bias is Jin , but I feel really sorry to the non-vocal line . They got like no screentime and line at all . I may sound selfish , but this perf is more like Sujeong and Kei duet to me . I get that people want to see their bias sing, and that is definitely understandable, but you also have to remember that IS2, at its core, IS A SINGING COMPETITION. It's still something you try to win in the long run, and the best way to win is to give the vocalists the bulk of the lines and really push them to showcase their vocals. The public that watch this show don't care how you look or dance (rapping is eh but again not the point), just how well you sing emotionally and technically. Granted this performance wasn't really the best to showcase that either... We know that Kei has a really clear voice but that's nothing new. Poor Jin was given the triple high note along with Kei and Sujeong so her voice gets diluted with the other two and you can't even hear her well. We know Baby Soul can rap. Sujeong probably the "best" in the terms of showcasing something new by flaunting her lower range better than what she's shown in their songs but still. When you don't have any lines, you don't get screentime which is the sad reality but it makes sense. It's okay though, WL is really pushing for individual schedules for all the members nowadays so the things that the other members excel at will be more centerfold over there so everyone is happy.

what I really love about lovelyz is their harmonizing. I am really disappointed in the fans arguing below. It is hard to enjoy any lovelyz or infinite performances lately with fans complaining about everything that does not go their way. Just enjoy the performance and stop being ignorant towards others because you think your opinion is above theirs.

Rein When the group has many members, this uneven line distribution is sometimes bound to happen. In this performance, the lines are distributed among the vocal line (+Yein) fairly. One may have 1 or 2 line(s) more than another. Those who didn't get to sing probably because their voice isn't fit. The audience for this kind of shows won't care much how fair the line distribution is, they simply want to watch good performance. Screentime pretty much depends on camera men and PD. Complaints won't help anything so why don't leave compliment and enjoy their performance instead?

I think it's obvious that Kei and Sujeong got the bulk of the lines, perhaps about 2/3 of the performance. But the point is, people are becoming impatient because this happened not just once, but a lot of times already. If it only happened in this performance, people wouldn't complain the way they are doing now. Like you said, you always see complaints in the videos. Why is that? Because it's been happening for a long time now. I do understand your annoyance, since I also feel bad about complaining. But seriously, this is too much. This was the first time Lovelyz appeared on IS2 so I think Woollim was trying to introduced them to gain more public recognition as a whole group. Although is mean no line for Mijoo and Jiae but WL want to show to audience about them as a team. I'm sure in future if they invited to IS again Woollim will send the vocal line alone. Rein Actually I'm Sunggyu's lover. Woohyun is my second and the rest members are the third. But I LOVE ALL OF THEM. It's about opportunities and time. Woollim must calculate everything. Infinite members are the assets for Wollim. ALL OF THEM. But their talents may show at different time and chances, depend on many factors, including their readiness. It's not JUST about solo album. Woohyun got his first at solo variety shows, immortal song and drama. Those happened in 2011-2012, when Infinite was famous as trend idol at that time. After that, Sungkyu got his first solo album, immortal songs, and then variety shows. After that Infinite H, and Infinite F. And about Myungsoo,well, he's always on demand. So why not? And other members, I'm sure, are aware of this kind of situation. I still believe Woohyun first album is in the right time. It's not as simple as 'Sungkyu got 2 albums' I don't want to argue again about that. I'm afraid this will trigger war in fandom. Personally I support and agree toward Woollim about the efforts to their artists, especially Infinite. I can't explain Lovelyz that much because I don't follow them as much as Infinite, but I can see Woollim have same pattern to handle Infinite and Lovelyz. It's kinda sad how it's always KeiJeong feat. the remaining six members whenever they cover songs (their a cappella covers, Running/Relay, and then there's the cover of Rain and the song by Jewelry which was just KeiJeong + back-up dancers). Regardless, Kei and Sujeong smashed the song, so all's well and good (not exactly, but I don't want to incur the wrath of other fans).
I agree. Woollim continually does this and its so frustrating. They're so biased towards some members over the others. Kei is already on Girl Spirit so shouldn't they also showcase their 2nd main vocal Jin in this a little more??

I get that people want to see their bias sing, and that is definitely understandable, but you also have to remember that IS2, at its core, IS A SINGING COMPETITION. It's still something you try to win in the long run, and the best way to win is to give the vocalists the bulk of the lines and really push them to showcase their vocals. The public that watch this show don't care how you look or dance (rapping is eh but again not the point), just how well you sing emotionally and technically.
Granted this performance wasn't really the best to showcase that either... We know that Kei has a really clear voice but that's nothing new. Poor Jin was given the triple high note along with Kei and Sujeong so her voice gets diluted with the other two and you can't even hear her well. We know Baby Soul can rap. Sujeong probably the "best" in the terms of showcasing something new by flaunting her lower range better than what she's shown in their songs but still.
When you don't have any lines, you don't get screentime which is the sad reality but it makes sense. It's okay though, WL is really pushing for individual schedules for all the members nowadays so the things that the other members excel at will be more centerfold over there so everyone is happy.

Rein When the group has many members, this uneven line distribution is sometimes bound to happen. In this performance, the lines are distributed among the vocal line (+Yein) fairly. One may have 1 or 2 line(s) more than another. Those who didn't get to sing probably because their voice isn't fit. The audience for this kind of shows won't care much how fair the line distribution is, they simply want to watch good performance. Screentime pretty much depends on camera men and PD. Complaints won't help anything so why don't leave compliment and enjoy their performance instead?
+Shikapham I have to disagree about the lines being distributed fairly amongst the vocal line. I think it's obvious that Kei and Sujeong got the bulk of the lines, perhaps about 2/3 of the performance. But the point is, people are becoming impatient because this happened not just once, but a lot of times already. If it only happened in this performance, people wouldn't complain the way they are doing now. Like you said, you always see complaints in the videos. Why is that? Because it's been happening for a long time now. I do understand your annoyance, since I also feel bad about complaining. But seriously, this is too much. Also, if this nasty favoritism (unfortunately, Woollim has favoritism) keeps up, the fandom will be shaken up more than it already has. I'm not going to argue about KeiJeong's capabilities, since they are good. They deserve the lines. But that doesn't mean the others don't either. It's not their fault though. This was the first time Lovelyz appeared on IS2 so I think Woollim was trying to introduced them to gain more public recognition as a whole group. Although is mean no line for Mijoo and Jiae but WL want to show to audience about them as a team. I'm sure in future if they invited to IS again Woollim will send the vocal line alone. Though Rap part was so short but it was nice idea and I enjoyed it

First, I know that the line distribution wasn't fair at all because I was feel disappointed with this too. But... can we not argue who is better singer, who is more stable, who is the member that can do high notes, who is member that deserve more line, like... what?? Please all don't be biased and saying this one better than that one just because they're your ultimate bias. Kei and Jin both are great in their way (no one better imo because when I about to say this one better, I feel that that one is better). Same with Baby Soul and Sujeong. Both are great in their way. Tbh Idk anything about vocal, technique, etc. It's pure my preference. That's why I tried to not downplay any member. If people want to talk about line distribution, let's just talk about how bad the distribution but don't said that "this member is better so she should have more line". Or if people feel that the line distribution, then don't say "she is more blablabla so ofc she deserve more line, while other member that got lesser line can't sing better or blablabla". Why not just saying "all of them should showcase their vocal talent so it should be blablabla". Guys, if you're really Lovelinus, not just this or that member stan, you shouldn't compare them. You shouldn't bring down member that wasn't your bias. You won't know sometimes your words can hurt people too (that was fans of other members)
Second, I feel that this performance wasn't really to showcase the vocal because if Woollim want them to showcase the vocal more, I think they'll send vocal line only or maybe member from vocal line (like they did with Infinite). This performance seems just to show "this is Lovelyz" not "this is Lovelyz vocal". This is such a bad decision imo. Even I feel their sugarman performance was much better to showcase their vocal with KeiJinJeong got almost same line while Mijoo that wasn't part of vocal line got lesser line (which I think they should give at least two line, not just one).
Third, I hope Lovelyz come to IS2 again with better performance. Imo, they should send vocal line or just Jin, BaSoul, or Sujeong as individual (I didn't mention Kei because I feel that she already showcase her vocal on Girl Spirit). For non vocal line, especially Mijoo and Yein, they better be on KOMS because people will be more surprised. Both Yein and Mijoo are good (people might said Mijoo is better or Yein is better but every people have different preference). Imo.. Yein is actually good. It's just that not a lot people like her vocal colour. I like her sing on Knowing Brothers when she impersonated Jung In, and I personally like her voice on Joyland, and Relay. Mijoo is good too. She maybe seems like she wanted to cry (I read it somewhere) but it's maybe because the range she got. She was good when she sang Goodbye Chapter 1, White, and Red Lipstick. For 2Ji, it's better for them to use their real voice first on their title track next comeback (I meant.. their voice like in GNLY, Jisoo also did well in Goodbye Chapter 1 while Jiae should use her Delight voice again).

Rein Actually I'm Sunggyu's lover. Woohyun is my second and the rest members are the third. But I LOVE ALL OF THEM.
It's about opportunities and time. Woollim must calculate everything. Infinite members are the assets for Wollim. ALL OF THEM. But their talents may show at different time and chances, depend on many factors, including their readiness.
It's not JUST about solo album. Woohyun got his first at solo variety shows, immortal song and drama. Those happened in 2011-2012, when Infinite was famous as trend idol at that time. After that, Sungkyu got his first solo album, immortal songs, and then variety shows. After that Infinite H, and Infinite F. And about Myungsoo,well, he's always on demand. So why not? And other members, I'm sure, are aware of this kind of situation. I still believe Woohyun first album is in the right time. It's not as simple as 'Sungkyu got 2 albums'
I don't want to argue again about that. I'm afraid this will trigger war in fandom.
Personally I support and agree toward Woollim about the efforts to their artists, especially Infinite. I can't explain Lovelyz that much because I don't follow them as much as Infinite, but I can see Woollim have same pattern to handle Infinite and Lovelyz.
