I think your paintings are fantastic Richard, but to watch you work and just see how happy you are being in your element and capturing the country you so clearly love. Pure joy. Cheers mate and carry on.
You never cease to amaze me! The way you pull it all together from the initial roughly laid in patches... The energetic application of such beautiful swathes of mixed colours.... Wow... I can see why you love the big canvases. Thank you, Richard.
I so enjoy watching your videos, how you begin by composing and wielding your large pallet knife as a conductor would - laying in your darks and building and building to the finale and crescendo!!! Hi from Oklahoma.
Another new one to savour and delight in. The water reflections are beautiful and masterfully created and developed. One of my favourite water scenes by you. Heaps to learn there for me and you do it with ease. Managed to get this one in before breakfast so time to eat. May your day be creative and fulfilling Richard. Cheers, Rich
Thanks again for a wonerful demonstraton Always amazed that you don't get paint on your natty clothes You can paint quickly and talk at the same time which is a skill not everyone has
Those water reflections just make my heart sing. It’s not until you show us the close up at the end that your skill with layering colour is so evident, and then from a distance the painting is so realistic. I love this style, it would lend well to pastels, I am going to give it a go, I tend to get too bogged down with detail. Again, thank you Richard.
I did a palette knife day with my students this wk - they loved it and got surprisingly good results once they got to grips with the idea that a palette knife is a palette knife and a trowel is a trowel!
Thanks for sharing another great video. Having focused what little artistic talent I have on miniatures, it's great watching these large canvases come together. I just wish there was a time lapse for all the little changes between 43:30 and 44:00 :) Maybe I just need to rewatch the studio re-working video from last week.
Great work , Richard. I learn so much from watching you. Only thing that could make it better would be if we could see your source photograph as you paint. So we can see how you build, brick by brick.
Nice one Richard, it's amazing as soon as you hit the top of the painting with the blue, it made it have that look when you are going to get rain on the river.cheers mate. :)
Beautiful work Richard, Good contrast will turn a average painting into a masterpiece. Look at the Australian Masters, Light and contrast was in all of the paintings. 🎨🙂👍
Thank you so much for another corker of a painting, Richard! It was really interesting to see how you developed the large expanse of water and the lead-in, compositionally, through the canoe's ripples. Also, of course, the clouds and development of the thunderhead. I'd also like to say how much I like the music - it's lovely in its own right but I think it adds a Pavlovian dimension for me - as soon as it begins, I associate it with your videos and the great pleasure in watching and learning as we watch you paint! All of which are greatly appreciated!
Absolutely beautiful Richard. I love how you pull those amazing colours all together ❤💕 I just tried using palette knives yesterday and ended up smoothing most of it all out with a brush...I am not brave enough I think! I love the texture for my rocks and cliffs though, but I struggle with sky ❤💕😂🤷♀️debs in Spain
Every time I admire your work, be it a painting process or a cooking process! Also, I'm interested in the question of colors, their colors are beautiful! Richard, you mainly work with a palette knife and therefore, naturally, there is a large consumption of paints. Do you make paint pigments yourself or buy? If you buy, can you say which company paint?
I love to watch you paint. The colors are amazing, and you capture the landscape so beautifully. I’m a new subscriber to the channel. How long have you been at it?
Love your work. I have never seen paint sold in quart and pint tins like that. Very heavy and thick. I like it! What brands do you use so that I might shop??
Ещё одна удача. Скупая палитра, но как много тоновых нюансов. Вы талантливы.
Спасибо за положительный отзыв!
Thanks for another masterclass. Love it.
Your use of colours and the mark making is only something I could aspire too. 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Another eye catching beautiful painting! I am learning a lot from you Richard; thank you!
