I am 77 years old, and these old home movies are a vivid recollection of similar experiences on Long Island, NY. Thank you for sharing.

This was the year before I was born in `60. I always wanted to go back in time to about that year, yet be the age I am now. Oh, the woulda-shoulda-coulda's in life!!!

Towns in Wisconsin that are quite nice and have changed little in 75 years are Cedarburg, Grafton, Shorewood, Algoma, Bailey's Harbor, Egg Harbor. A family owned resort in Door County called Rowleys resort is like a trip to 1960. Clean and yet a distinct 1960's vibe.

WOW! My wife and I were watching RUclips on our Roku box and this video came on. Rook doesn't give the option to look at the description. I was watching the video when it reached 6:13 seconds in I recognized Glenn Miller Park. My wife and I have both played in that water fountain pool (independently). We live in Richmond. My parents were married on August 30, 1959. My mother was 22 and my father was 21 when these videos were taken. It was interesting to see things as they would have seen them. I wasn't born until 1969. My wife pointed out that only a few blocks from the park was her grandmother's home (19th street) where the grandfather she never met was living. He died of a massive heart attack age 43 in 1965. Too much information for you I am sure but anyway. Thank you SO MUCH for posting this video.

Thank you for your comments. The beginning of the film is Center Lake in Warsaw, Indiana. The middle, as you noted, was Richmond, Indiana and then Shreveport, Louisana. The very end goes back in time to London, UK. The baby/toddler throughout the film was me.

The shoreline towns of Lake Michigan from Manitowoc north have changed little in 75 years. Door County towns like Bailey's Harbor and Egg harbor look much the same as in 1960.

Those were the days. Good thing the poor kid can't remember those diaper pins. Those two Chevys were hauling ass around the curve just before that Sinclair station.

There are still three WigWam Motels operated today ( there once were seven) by the original family. The most famous is on Rt.66 in Holbrook, AZ., but this appears to be elsewhere . . . Do you remember where the one in the film is/was located?

Sorry of the delay in getting back to you. Sorry, I don't remember as I was only 14 months old at the time. :) Judging from the timing of the scene, it must be somewhere between Richmond, Indiana and Shreveport, Louisiana. My guess -- somewhere in Kentucky or Arkansas.
