    I love the character of this guy and it is so nice to see someone teaching portrait drawing that doesn't draw someone who is so perfect they fail to look like a real human being.

    I came upon your demos at just the right time, as I have a daily drawing challenge where I have to draw a famous person in a couple of days. Thanks for your 2 Lumis demos and downloads!!

    A very very professional video Rusty, I love the way you have simplified the Loomis method as the full Loomis method can become very complicated. Cheers, JD NZ.👍

    Thanks. I gave it a try, and was quite pleased with my first attempt. I don't draw much but am going to put some time into it since I've always enjoyed it but never set time aside. I'll practice and definitely be watching more of your videos. Thanks again.

    It would be easier to follow what you are doing if you had the reference photo up on the screen. Just a suggestion thank you!

    Great video! By the way, did you draw the eyebrows, and I just missed it?

    • @prof_nelson
      @prof_nelson  15 дней назад

      No, not really. I think I started on the one eye, but they weren't that visible in the photo and I don't think I got back to them. Good catch. Thanks for watching.

    Very Interesting.
    I will retire soon and want to practice this with much freestyle.
    How long have you done this and are you making a little money ?
    Just curious = no need for answer if you don't have the time or inclination
    (Some sites ask you to " buy them a coffee!)🙂

      I have been drawing all my life as long as I can remember. I have been using the method for about 20 years and I have been on RUclips only since January 2024. I am making a small amount of money. I plan to plow it back into equipment for making better videos. Trying to figure out how to be a better online instructor. 🙂

    It is Winston Churchill

      It does look like him, but I don't think so. The photo is older than what he would have been at that time.
