I’ll call this a draw 1st round sugar, second round kenzo but kenos move are not fluid they stif he complex feet movement but his shoulders arms hips lack the fluidity. Then sugar went into much second round with enrgy and bad move sets. He stuffed the pose but the edge went to sugar because he was smart enough to showcase his best move set to the judge by facing them.
props to both lockers. The key to locking (no pun intended) is about being funky and feeling the music, not about how well you can do canned moves to music. Kenzo is definitely a skilled locker but he just wasn't funky enough IMO, Sugar Rae did alot less but I felt it more.
Who the fuck cares who the judges picked? We got to see the battle. It's obvious both lockers have skills and had different aesthetics. Either one could win based on what the judges like more, techs or straight funkin'. It's like everyone thinks he's P-Lock once he gets behind a damn keyboard.
I am not really into locking, I just started to follow locking a bit after the Juste Debout Final 2011 (Firelock & Hurrikane vs Rae & Flockey) which really impressed me. So you are right, I don't know a lot about locking but I definitely enjoyed Rae more than Kenzo and I'd take Sugar Rae over Kenzo any day.
I would consider my self to be a pretty good dancer so i know wearing the right shoes is essential... so it begs the question of how the math does rae dance in biker boots

Just got here from a battle between Yoshie and Rae where Rea won but in reality didn,t even came close to yoshie,s level and now this crap again. Rea is average. Kenzo killed it!
The judges were fooled by the Indiana Jones outfit and the posing on this one. Sugar lost control and even fell on his head man. Kenzo had sick footwork and clearly won.
Either these judges dont know shit or these battles are fixed, on the hip hop finals Majid somehow lost his battle and now kenzo has lost his, like WTF
