      those slight overlaps are called grace notes. its a rhythmic technique

    I love your song, what chord progression did you use? and how did you make the randomized notes sound in tune/scale?

      You seem to be misunderstanding. The randomization is not the notes, but rather it randomizes how loud each note is played, so the notes sound more human, and less like it was programmed in a DAW.

      the chords are a common IV-I-ii-V progression.
      and it's the velocity that's randomized, not the notes
