While this has three lockers (eat that, LC70 series 😊), it’s still rather delicate for off-road use because of the independent suspension. Only the stripped own one from the 90s or the current military one (good luck trying to buy one in whatever condition) are suitable for off-road. As if that’s not enough, it’s designed by the manufacturer for you to modify for off-road use. And the off-road + cabin controls (which are on the roof linger for easy access off-road) made for you to use ven when you have thick gloves on in the field is a win. I still pick the Ineos Grenadier over this for dedicated off-road use as the latter’s purpose-built for off-roading despite having a puny 289 hp in the petrol version. The IG has: 1) Three electronically controlled diffs just like this one. 2) Actual off-road stock profile wheel sizes that need no adjusting, unlike this one. 3) Will cost 18M when *new* for the top trim. 4) *front and rear solid axles* For a mall crawler to make you feel good, this will work. I hope MB never do to it what Range Rover did to the old Defender 110 😢. Wokabi, please call John Wotton to review the showcase Grenadiers so Kenyans have another locally supported, purpose-built off-road option.
Hi Eric, thanks for the good review, there's another vehicle that is also under 10 seconds that you need to review, we own a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe SR (diesel) premium and this vehicle is a monster in hiding, it is also much cheaper than the G-wagon. Please review for us the Santa Fe diesel, I'll really appreciate it.
For a fraction of the cost my 2012 gray Jeep Liberty looks similar. It can also tow 2,000 lbs . All for just under $10,000 usd. Greetings from Las Vegas. 🎰
If you had an outdoor camera you could have seen the nose lift up slightly...on the speed test..the beast! Also note it looks like a brick no aerodynamics at all but still the horse power is sufficient enough...however for extreme off road jeep beats g-wagen and land Rover
