New bnf 75 page 762. Says upipristal can be sold more the once in a cycle. Levonorgestrel can only be sold once. Page771 ulipristal within 3 hours vomit take again. Page 775 Levonorgestrel with in 3 hours vomiting take again. Both 3 hours now
oxytocics (oxy-toe-sicks) and obstetrics (obs-stet-ricks) this is 5 years old, I expect you know how to pronounce these now. Thanks for these videos, they are fantastic.
Hi sureena, you mentioned progesterone IUD are less appropriate for those at risk of developing pelvic inflammatory disese. In the bnf it says that 'there is evidence that frequency of pelvic inflammatory disease may be reduced ' with progesterone IUDs
Hi Sureena, at 17:27 you mentioned the benefits of Copper IUDs over Progestogen-only IUDs. But BNF says it the other way around (benefits of Progestogen-only IUDs over Copper IUDs). Am I getting your point wrong? or I'm right and it can be a mistake >.< BTW thanks for the video, it's amazing!
Hiya! You're right a missed pill is after 24 hours, however there is a risk of pregnancy if a pill is taken more than 12 hours after the usual time :) www.nhs.uk/conditions/contraception/miss-combined-pill/
theoretically it should be on there but same I've seen loads of scripts without it too. If it isn't endorsed as such, I believe then we as a pharmacy don't get reimbursed the correct amount when it goes off to the pricing authorities :)
Thank you very much for these wonderful videos. Best greetings from Mauritius

I've seen LOTS and LOTS of scripts (for ED i assume) without an SLS endorsement.. is it a must and what happens if they aren't endorsed as such?
theoretically it should be on there but same I've seen loads of scripts without it too. If it isn't endorsed as such, I believe then we as a pharmacy don't get reimbursed the correct amount when it goes off to the pricing authorities :)
it doesn't need to be endorsed sls if it is prescribed generically, if it is prescribed as a brand viagra then it should be endorsed sls
Are dutasteride and Finasteride Alpha blockers?
Nope, they're 5 alpha reductase inhibitors which can also be used in BPH whereas tamsulosin etc are alpha1 adrenoceptor blockers
Heh, I just picked up on that. I was like "There's a number and a word missing...."
