I love seeing my table design on your machine!!!! Thank you Ryan for showing your new machine with the extension table attachment.
I had no idea it’s yours! Congrats on a job well done!!!
Fixing to make the purchase on a 4800pro this week.
Will it have the new version of the table instead of the old version?
As of what time did this change?
Thanks
Also I really enjoy your info and knowledge Ryan!
Never mind! Pays to read all the comments!
But I still really appreciate all your videos.
@@rcamoonpie648 great machine choice, for sure. You will have to confirm with techsew if they will ship your machine with the aluminum table or the wood one.
The aluminum offering through techsew is my original version. I have since improved that version and sell it myself on Etsy.
@@recentrelicsdesigns Thanks for the reply Barbara
I’ll check with the dealer (sewing machine’s plus) to verify.
Then I’ll get one from you if not.
That’s a very cool aluminum table. I prototyped one myself out of stainless steel for my old Necchi cyl arm whiched works well, although it is heavy. Congrats to you and Techsew.
You are great, you can see that you give your whole heart to what you do. I am from Poland, I am really full of admiration
I love and can relate to that intro brother. Really cool to see behind the scenes!
I just love your videos! Thank you for all this clear information!
I love my 4800 pro! And Barbara Craig's flat bed table that she licensed to TechSew is awesome. Its an amazing machine -- now if I could only be as amazing as you are with your leather working!
Super, thank you so much, agree the customer service is outstanding. The pressure foot going over layers is a big sell point on the Techsew 4800 pro vs the 2750 pro. I just upgraded my order after watching a few videos out there. So, if anyone else is watching, the 2750 pro does not have the nob adjustment on the upper right side of the machine, as the 4800 pro does, you can adjust it, but you have to go to the back of the machine on the 2750 pro with a screw driver. Your video was very relaxing and informative to watch.
Awesome! Stoked for you to get your new machine!
Always very gentle and cool.
Greetings from Brazil.
Great information…so helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your own experience.❤️❤️❤️. I am still undecided which is the one that meets my needs
Good video thank you. your products are beautifully crafted
Thank you Ryan!
Great video and information. Sure makes me want one.
I bought one of these machines about a year ago and I too hated the laser, thanks for the information you gave. One other issue I had with my machine was the way it was put together before Tec-sew shipped it. Tec-Sew assembles the machine head and then ships the unit in pieces with the table and remaining parts to complete the assembly. I had some fasteners missing from the boxes and some the things that were assembled had been cross threaded or damaged by over torqueing the fasteners. These are a sizeable investment and what it cost for the pro package I was less than impressed.
Could you possibly do a video on how you go from idea to production? I find myself always going 0-100 without hitting the “rest stops”.
The needle position is an add on it you have a dc motor with the box, thirty bucks. Can retro fit most machines.
Great content!
Another great video and very reasonable machine cost vs the CNC channels I follow. 🤣👍🏼
That darn ✌️LAZER✌️. Lol great video.
Hey Ryan, I recently got my own industrial sewing machine and have been trying to fine tune my work since. What thread size and needle size do you use?
Hi Ryan, very cinematic video as always :) I'm trying to sew a THICK gusset (just under 3/4") by hand. I don't have room for an industrial machine with a table - do pressure foots even really go that high or did I not skive enough? I'm used to making small wallets and stuff by hand.. not bags.
hi there thank you for your amazing share again. so how do you compare your 669 and this ? I'm looking for a machine for the wallets and handbag.thank you
Nice Review! Makes me want one and I don’t sew!
Your videos and lighting always look so good, what camera are you using?
Thanks Noah! I am using the Sony a7siii here.
Gorgeous picture! What model of video camera do you use for shooting?!
Hey thanks! The Sony a7siii
@@LittleKingGoods Wow very high level 👍
@@LittleKingGoods Good afternoon, if it doesn’t make it difficult, tell me in which profile the filmed video?
Maybe one day I’ll graduate to a sewing machine. Ryan- when will you release more apparel? I wanted to get your hat but I see it’s sold out!!
Nice, I ordered a 5100 special edition a couple weeks ago, still waiting. Quick question have you done any vids on your packaging and shipping? I thought I watched a vid you did on it but cant find it now.
Total newbie question - If you’re just starting out, is it possible to use a regular sewing machine to sew leather or is that asking too much of the machine?
I've been looking at the 2650 pro, but this new 4800 pro seems like a step up. Anyone have thoughts on the difference?
what kind of camera do you use to record
Curious about the bed length difference between the 5100 and 4800 which are 16.5"and 10.5"respectively. In your review of the 5100 you were saying the generous bed length was a real advantage. Are you happy with the 10.5"of the 4800 or are you missing the 16.5"? Greetings from BC.
How does this new Techsew compare to your Adler 669?
I love my 4800 Pro and my 2900L. TechSew customer service is the best!
The deal breaker is, or was the last time I spoke with them, there is no USA distribution point, meaning, you pay shipping from Canada, and if anything goes wrong, you pay to ship it back to Canada. That puts some of us in a position of having only the Cowboy or Cobra left. Which may be fine, I just like to have options. And I really don't want a red/brown machine!
Interesting. I had the shittiest customer service experience a human being can ever have with them. Will never buy from them again.
Follow you from Algeria,
Unfortunately we don't have this equipment
Great video and very helpful. I am currently researching sewing machines and this sounds like the one I want! I did have a question, was that flatbed designed just for you? Or is it an optional item? I am only seeing the original one in the product photos on the site. Thx!
The aluminum table comes with new sales of Techsew machines as of about a week ago. I am the designer of the tables and am so happy to see the interest in them.
@@recentrelicsdesigns Awesome! That is great to hear. Great design and I am looking forward to getting one!
@Luis Hermosillo I hope you do as well. I can’t wait to get one!
@Luis Hermosillo I sure will, thank you!
Hi Ryan, great machine and review! Wondering though, why did you get this machine when you already had the Adler 669.
The Adler seems to be able to do everything the Techsew does if not more. Would be very interested to know if there are any pros that the Techsew has over the Adler. Cheers and keep it up!
Hey! I need another machine for faster production, keep one machine with a different thread colour / flat bed.
Makes sense, great to see you are expanding :)
So why did you get this when you have the 669?
That's a phenomenal idea about the flat table attachment...it's the only thing I don't like about both of my machines.
@techsew - where can someone get the metal flat tables for the 2600 Pro Narrow and 5100 Pro cylinder machines?
Thanks, Ryan!
Barbara Craig is the one who made that table attachment. She has one that fits the 5100 if you go to her Etsy page Recent Relics Designs. Not sure about the 2600 though!

I just got a 4800 pro and also got Barbara Craig's tables (top and bottom) - absolutely love them. I'm trying to make my first leather bag with this machine (see how it goes lol). Glad to have found you, always looking for any new tips or help as I'm a newer bag maker still. :)
Can you do thin material with one of these as well?
Yes you can depending on the material. Canvas is probably the thinnest I’d sew.
can you make a video on how to dye leather ... if done already then please share link ... i couldn't find it ...
Hey, I don’t dye leather. I find it too inconsistent and it never looks as good as good as the tannery does it.
I wish they had a distribution center in the USA.
I’m pretty sure they do 🤙🏼
I am very new and never sew leather yet but want to look into it and this machine after your reviews makes me want one. This is probably a silly question but based on your other reviews can you tell me if the motor is a Brushless Servo Motor? Thank you.
Hey hey! Yes it’s a brushless servo motor
@@LittleKingGoods Thank you, love your videos!
Hi can you tell the difference with the adler 669 and this machine?
Hey, yes they are quite different in the way the feel and sound. They both produce very similar results. The techsew is much cheaper and made in China and the 669 is made in Germany with more premium components.
Hi, What camera do you use for your videos?
The Sony a7siii
With the tec sew 4800 machine
What do i need to get going.
Thread size, how many bobbins, light.
I need four different colors.
What am asking how to get the parts needed.
Do you have a list to help out or
Is there someone that I could call to get what I need.
Thank you for helping.
Reach out to Ron at techsew through instagram or email them. They will set you up. 🤙🏼
Ryan , you changed my mind Brother… going with the 4800 instead of 5100.
Poque todo mundo esquece de falar das linhas que usam para as maquinas de costura? :S
Is it available in Bangladesh.
Great video. I can personally vouch for this machine as well. If anyone needs any help with setup or adjustments, let me know 🙂
❤❤❤
I am also a leather bag artisan and after seeing you I wanted to do the same.
#butflyleathergoods
you should try making a pair of shoes
Hey Ryan my name is Cade Bryan, I am a student minoring in business and for one of my classes I have been tasked with performing an entrepreneurial case study. A little background of me I am attending flight school with a minor in business and I am a leather hobbyist thanks to you! For my case study I would really love to interview you to analyze your business and the success you have had, it shouldn't take longer than 30 minutes of your time and I would really appreciate any response, thank you!
Would you recommend a Cobra Class 26 or a Jack S5 for sewing on leather hat patches? I know you get 1,000s of these type questions, but I'm a long time viewer and value your opinion. Thanks and have a great day.
Hello there
Does Techsew have a US dealer?
I believe so, give them a shout 🤙🏼
Now i want to quiet my computer engineering career and switch to sewing.
how you compare this with juki and say juki is louder, when your machine (techsew 4800) its literally juki 1341 with different name..
and juki 1341 its a literally 1541 with cylinder arm? its all the same machines. so how this one can be quite
My Adler 669 is way louder than this 4800.
hello?
Mark robers twin?? Lol
한국말 번역 부탁합니다ㅜㅜ
I can respect that you need this machine to help with your business. However if Iam being honest with myself, I will only buy wallets that are all handmade, no machines. To me it feels more personal when someone makes it by hand in my own opinion.
I am 100% sure you can choose either a handmade option or a machine option at his site for this exact reason.
Don't forget handstitched is also alot more durable and stronger using the saddle stitched method. My custom wallet and belt are both saddle stitched.
This is what I was thinking as well. At what point do you have to remove 'handmade' from your product description?
Nobody I'm aware of makes their own leather, thread or hardware but to me it seems the more machines you use in your production, the closer you are to a factory.
Of course, the other side of the coin is I'm pretty sure Gucci isn't making handbags by hand
Just my opinion of course.
@@ffaubert1 nope Gucci is by machine. As with most high end leather bags. You cannot handsew 2 10 oz hides, hemmed in before or after skiving. You need a machine. Especially when sewing liners. Either way its a labor of love i appreciate machine of hand sewn.
