Energylandia is the only real amusement park i've ever visited, but Abyssus kinda sucks even for me. Because Hyperion and Zadra exist, I would not waste time to get multiple rides on it and spend it to ride these 2 brilliant mega coasters.
When I rode abyssus the trims on the top hat where completely off!. I loved this coaster, definitely made up for my really bad and painful ride on speed that day
I held off watching this until I'd completed my own video review, but it's interesting we essentialy came to the same comclusion that it's great, but really lacking that WOW factor. The restraints dont bother me nearly as much though as I felt they had enough give in the vest part to still let you feel the airtime.
I really hate saying this, but it seems like Vekoma really pushes themselves too far when it comes to the speed. When you would see the speed at the end of the ride, it seemed like they were seriously trying to pack as many elements as they can with this ride. It is also to the point where the speed is like its nearly crawling at the end, yet they still have another 20-30 seconds of ride time left. This is also seen with the Newer Vekoma, Invincibe Warriors. Check that POV out, the speed looks worse on that one. Probably the speed needs to either be amplified, the elements need to be shorter ( in terms of not being tall ) OR ( probably the key thing here because this reminds me of Wicked Cyclone from SFNE ) they need to find a way to lower the friction from the wheels, which allows the ride to persist the speed longer. Maybe it is just me..? But it seriously looks like its not doing what it should be doing. Vekoma has overall done a serious imprevemnt over the past 15 years, and it is CRAZY. I love what they are doing, but Jeesusss, PLEASE get the pacing issue up. Another thing they could do is lower the height of the elements earlier in the ride so the speed could be maintined more easily, therefore the elements pack more of a punch and it would be redeemed as a fun ride from START to FINISH. (sorry, this is kind of a rant here, please don't mind this. I love Vekoma and they're currently my Number .03 as my favorite manufacturers, behind Intamin { No. 2} and RMC {No. 1} )
I totally agree, Abysus has low speed at the end and it almost dies. Last 20 sencod is no longer fun. Maybe they need a third launch or I don't know,.something on this project is not right
Was that you tapping your desk out of frustration I could hear?! Another great review. Love the little touches, like you you transition from section to section. Your review pretty much sums up my expectations which is that this is a really fun looper you could probably even take your nan onto. It's a shame about the restraints, I think Vekoma's are better than most but they're still unnecessary on most rides now.
Do you think this would be a top tier coaster without the OTSR’s and the excessive trim on the top hat? That trim looks so strong that it must be affecting the pacing through the rest of the ride
I personally think that the restraining is okay. But lap bars would have definitely been better. I definitely felt the positive g force and were pulled of out my seat
This is a great ride for what it is...only rode it 4x but it was hard to pay attention to it bc Zadra is literally right there.
ye lol

Great review, keep reviewing these new coasters not that many people have ridden yet

I’m going for 2 days in September,Ryan air £20 return from uk !!!!!!!!! Crazy ………soooooooo excited
I can't wait to see Fønix which i think will easily be the best Vekoma coaster.
Looks like a redesign upto date Schwartzkoph track style love the trains to bit boat theme and the water
this is a family coaster. why are we acting like this is even close to being comparable to the greatest rides on the planet.
Cool
8.38 is being extra generous (I completely understand why). Newer Vekoma's are sort of an illusion similar to Orion at KI.
enjoyable family coaster
Really enjoy your reviews. They are specific but understandable. Would love to see more
Wow that looks so good!
Are they ever actually going to fill it with water?
Great review!!! Totally agree!!!
If u ride it expecting something like Maverick u will probably be dissapointed but if u know it's more like a longer Blue Fire it's a damn good ride.
I wonder how vekoma firestorm and top gun compare to this
Fonix and renagafe models look crazy also
Patiently waiting on the Zadra review and do you prefer EL to Europa?
But Hyperion is better 🤫
I know Europa is the better park but Energylandia is better.
@@AmusementInsider ok I won't argue. EL magic nights was by far the most fun park visit of the trip but Europa is just perfection.
@@AmusementInsider hyperion is not better sorry
@@lansulin it’s subjective
@@littlebendixon93 Nah sorry Zadra is better than some pretty good out and back thats just objective fact

They use a mix of B&M, Intamin, and RMC elements in one coaster, it really makes them great.
Totally true! And unfortunately execute them all a bit worse which is my problem
@@AmusementInsider true, they're a little less snappy and intense than some other manufacturers.
Ugh I live in Florida! I wish I can ride this. At least I have the velocicoaster.
I personally think that the restraining is okay. But lap bars would have definitely been better. I definitely felt the positive g force and were pulled of out my seat
The clone with just one launch in China runs a lot faster. Also Vekoma stated that restraints are parks choise, cause Fønix has lapbars only.
I believe Fonix also has the soft shoulder harness.
You are right, but they first anounced lapbars only. I do not know why they changed it.
@@DJWezzyK interesting. too bad!
Hey dude, your videos and reviews are awesome. Thx for all the work you put into them.
I would love to see a F.L.Y Review
FLY is tough because I dislike flyers, but it’s hard to talk anything poorly about it 😂
I am trying to do a review for it
@@AmusementInsider Well that is unfortunate, I only rode F.L.Y but I actually loved it.
So basically it is a great ride, but looks like it's missing that "wow-factor".
its a snoozefest
Vekoma has learned a lot but their pacing and excitement is still low level
Basically remove one of the two trims and that thing hauls
Just trim down the trims and problem solved. And put nylon wheels on trains
