With the aussie map, I'd say that Canberra (the finland region) is real fucking cold, but not as cold as finland most of the time. In summer, yes, it's like a finnish summer, but in winter? not a goddamn chance. As for where I'm from in Perth (in the south west), can confirm it is just like southern california, given that I'm currently studying in San Diego right now.
