Cheers gentlemen! Thanks for a killer review! It was quite entertaining and the comments from your subscribers are great! Hope you get to see us live one of these days! \m/ Bonkers from Yonkers!
Necrotic Nick- Hey! Thanks, guys! Dude, this album is nuts but in all the right ways. Your fans have been talking up you live shows in the comments and I think we're gonna have to catch you guys at some point. Keep up the good work! Cheers from OH!
This new Malignancy album is such a great comeback album. They are one of the best in technical/brutal death metal. Their debut Intrauterine Cannibalism is a classic in the genre. Their next two EPs, Motived by Hunger and Cross Species Transmutation are also really good. The next full length Inhuman Grotesqueries was decent but the next album Eugenics was even better. It has been 12 years since that album but it was worth the wait. The drumming on this album is insanely fast, the riffs are sharp and hard hitting, the bass has a great tone, and the vocals are disgustingly low and inhuman. This is one of the best death metal albums to come out this year and another great comeback album in a year where there’s been a lot of them.
Necrotic Nick- Yeah, I wasn't aware they had been MIA for awhile but then again my knowledge concerning this band is very limited. I will say that this one has me interested in checking out their other stuff though so I'm gonna be on the hunt.
I saw them live like a year ago. Believe me, they absolutely nail it live, as crazy as that is to imagine. The guitarist also dances around in circles while playing all this stuff. I felt like I was discovering a new alien species trying to figure out what I was looking at, but loving it.
Necrotic Nick- Yeah, I did notice some similarities. I'm still not entirely sure what's going on here in the art but if the music is going to be insane then so should the artwork. Yeah, I think it's time I dd some more Malignancy listening after this one.
This album is a total blur! The song structures are nutty as heck.... like, how can anybody write music this crazy fast without sacrificing creativity and catchiness? As crazy as this album is it's incredibly fun to listen to. Great review fellas! 🤘🏼
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! Agreed. Every time I've come back to this it's like being on an insane rollercoaster with g forces that could peel the skin off your face. It's bonkers but at the same time I'm still really drawn into it.
Gonna check out their other stuff whenever I get a chance and let y'all know what I think. I'm still going through your mammoth stack of reviews! I'm slowly getting there!😂
This was the return I had hoped for, glad to see bands like Vomit The Soul & Malignancy still bringing the Slabs o' Death out strong. Is it just me, or do the vocals and some of the song arrangements sound a bit like modern Cryptopsy on this album? Even more interesting is that your wearing a Cryptopsy shirt for this review Nick! Coincidence??
Necrotic Nick- Yeah, there's been some solid brutal death here lately. I heard more Ross Dolan on this one but the way the music is structured and how fast the vocals are I can't definitely hear some Cryptopsy especially in the cadences. I decided to go with Cryptopsy for this one since I thought they were at least comparable stylistically but I had no idea this was as nuts as would be lol
I know this video is about Malignancy, but Mike Heller killed it on the latest Raven album which is the furthest thing from this album but his drumming somehow ties together brutal death metal to British heavy metal which I didn’t think was possible 🤷♂️. Great review 🍻
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! Dude! I 100% agree. Heller's performance on that last Raven album made it twice as intense. This dude has such a wide wheelhouse when it comes down to drum styles. His drum performance on the last Sigh album was unreal as well.
Necrotic Nick- Yeah, it's a band I just know of in passing and may have heard a couple of tracks by in the past but this was the first time I've ever jammed on of their albums and I feel like I've been missing out. Glad you dug our dumb brand of humor too, man lol.
Necrotic Nick- That's exactly where I'm at. While it definitely confused and warped my brain I was really drawn in and found a lot of catchy elements as well.
Im not the biggest BDM fan, but i feel Malignancy is one of the best in that realm. Love how dissonant and discordant the songs are. Remind me to some Origin and cryptopsy at their best.
Necrotic Nick- They really do have a different vibe even from similar bands like Cryptopsy and Defeated Sanity. It feel just as wild as those bands but that dimed intensity just puts it in another gear.
Necrotic Nick- We have heard of them. We just hadn't listened to a full album by them before. I might have heard a track in passing but this was legit the first full album of theirs we'd ever jammed.
I also thought the album with the alien on it next to a toxic waste barrel ...forgot the name of the album , I thought it was cool when others found it flat ..red rum records same as mortician , hails been a fan they started looks like im staying 🤘💯
@@thrallsofmetal eugenics is the album , it's said it's flat however I enjoy it ....oops how could I forget another banger by malignancy ...ignorance is bliss sick rotted pus aye 🤘 ...have a tasty afternoon 🙂💯
Dude this album punches you in the head and keeps going ...motivated by hunger was my favorite by them Roger from mortician tags it up however I may be looking at this album as better than motivated by hunger , truly a nice rotted piece of pus aye 🤘😋
Necrotic Nick- Yeah, this album is nuts. In terms of punches and it's like 150 jabs thrown with the force of a haymaker on ever track. I definitely want to explore more of this band's discography after this one.
@@thrallsofmetal I would check out motivated by hunger by them they have a decent discog and I think you are going to like what you are hearing indeed 🤘🏼💯🙂.

Appreciate all the support ans sticking with us for so many years! Check out the Malignancy Future EP we released not too long ago. \m/

Necrotic Nick- Dude dances around in circles while playing this madness?!? Well, I'm sold. I 100% need to see this now.
@@thrallsofmetaltha Angus young of brutality! Malignancy is 1000% the real deal
This band strapped a bunch of epileptics to their instruments, shoved them into a rave and hit "record".
I fuckin love it.
I love how the artwork is like an expanded version of Intrauterine Cannibalism. I love Malignancy this release was highly anticipated for me.
Necrotic Nick- Yeah, I did notice some similarities. I'm still not entirely sure what's going on here in the art but if the music is going to be insane then so should the artwork. Yeah, I think it's time I dd some more Malignancy listening after this one.
Cheers! The cover can be a nod to Intrauterine. Humanity is Discontinued on this cover and that female creature is a human hybrid from Eugenics.

Really glad that Huffin' Horace enjoyed this one. So easy to please.

@@thrallsofmetal I'll be back with more J's!
Great album
Should have invited the Dawg as a guest reviewer for this episode.

Snagged this as a blind purchase off Amazon since I was grabbing my dad something for Father’s Day. I’d say I made a wise choice 🤘
Necrotic Nick- I'd say solid instincts all around lol
2018 seems like such a long time ago. I saw Malignancy at CDF in Oakland. I bought their shirt. 🤘
Necrotic Nick- We had our chance at MDF 2019 but we missed them. Might have to check them out live after this one.
i was so fucking pissed that i missed that show
Yall check out the new Groin album Paid in Flesh. Great power violence release similar to Nails. Keep up the good work boys.
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! I think I've heard of that band but if it's comparable to Nails I'm definitely interested.
Suprised you guys are new to this band. Awesome band. 🤘😎

This is a mammoth of a listen! 4 of 5!

Archspire or Inferi? If so, more? Lol
Aborted and Cryptopsy shirts? Subbed
Killer record. I thought Binary Paradigm was especially nasty. Forget math metal, this is calculus metal.
Necrotic Nick- Calculus metal is accurate as fuck lol. This was like listening to Cryptopsy while they performed on bath salts.
How in unholy fuck have you dopey Kuntz not heard these guys?!
