Brocken 1141m | Ilsenburg to the summit and back via Heinrich Heine Wanderweg trail

My mountaineering trip as a beginner. Brocken is the highest mountain of northern Germany. Northern Germany does not have that many mountains and especially not high ones. Since I really wanted to climb a mountain in a day trip from Hamburg, this one was my best choice.
Brocken is located in the beautiful mountain range Harz. There are several hiking trails leading to the summit. I hiked up to the summit of the mountain via Heinrich Heine Weg along river Ilse, which is a really beautiful hike, without any climbing. The trip started in Ilsenburg, a town north of the mountain.
