- 青藏高原 Tibetan Plateau is one of the Chinese classics, it was released on 1994 as a theme song for a TV series. It got attention of the listeners because it had multiple high notes and and epic climax.

The Original Climax has G#5 being the highest sustained note and B5 being the peak note, and afterwards the amazing C#5 mid-belt!
The males lowered the key. However, Yunduo 5:35 belted C#6 there 👽 (As if it wasn't high enough)

2- GuoRong- 6:25 (the C5 was perfect)

The Phantom of Singing Anyone who can sing this song is incredible because you need to be able to sing really high pitch. My favorite is Lina, the first person in this video. I think she is the original singer.

SONAM WANGMO!!! There is no competition for her voice, and skill combo.
Truth.
Wangmo for the trills and chills. Guorong for the scale exercises. Gong Linna for the slight growl at the start of the last word.
Sonam Wangmo is my favorite. All are great though!

tbh all i got from this was that this climax sounds legendary regardless of who's singing
I really like the contemporary rock rendition by Amei (Chang Huimei) at 3:34 if you listen to her full performance (she's one of only 3 women in the video here who are CURRENTLY seemingly unable to belt that high. Amei belted up to G5 or above during her more youthful daya)
To be fair, Shila Amzah is *unable* to belt that high in the mixed voice like how most of the other singers do in this video compilation.. nonetheless, Shila's rendition at 1:10 (transitioning to falsetto beautifully and smoothly to compensate for her lower belting range) is really very well skilled and special!
In terms of belting like the original song, that one lady at 5:26 singing the highest note while sitting down sounds incredibly even better and stronger than the original singer!
LASTLY kudos to all the male singers who pull it off so well!
I admire the ones that did the tibetan vibrato but, hitting the notes clean is no small feet.
I hope the channel will have an analysis on Gong Linna's voice 😄

Wong Mo did it the best in terms of how I would expect that kind of singing to sound like, and Mo Siman has the power and can hold them notes beautifully and the best. Those two ladies ate everybody else in here up. It's funny, with all the memes created at the expense of Mo Siman and the girls used in the Jiafei universe, all that aside, Miss Mo Siman actually has such a powerful voice, I regularly listen to her version of this song live, and the actual song that was used for the memeof Jiafei, and it is such a good and catchy song for someone outside of China.

Its not easy to make an ethnic song sounded good and acceptable to foreign ears. I love Shila's rendition of the song. She is full of soul and not mere screaming. When Shila sings we could feel the mountain breeze and see the mountain.

Tough, tough, tough!!! But I will pick 4 of them and not in order. My four are GAOJUN, MO SIMAN, Tan Wei Wei, an definitely not last and or least is, drum roll please, Jess Lee!!!! All were exceptional and I know several of the singers from watching perform in other videos,. Sorry I know you and didn't pick you, but I went with sounded best at the time!! But thank you Phantom of Singing for even having this. It's so great!!

All of them are beautiful and incredible!
Going by accuracy; I would say Wangmo, Yun Duo, the three sisters and Gao Jun(for a 9 year old child) sound the closest to the original Tibetan style.
Sheila's and Bei Na's versions are more suitable for foreign ears as they might not be accustomed to the exact peculiar sounds of the original style.
Nevertheless, all of them sound amazing!

in this compilation (I don't see full version), the best one is Alu Zhuo because how smooth and soft her voice can be even in that high pitch note. It's like this not even challenging for her.
the worst one is Shila Amzah, her voice can't even reach the high pitch note softly.
except shila, the others are very bad in transition but hit high note very well. shila is very good in transition and very smooth and more to western style since she is outsider

They all sang it great. But Alan, Tan Weiwei, and Mo Siman had that wailing which I feel fits more for the song. Alan kills it in another video, I didn't like his one as much.

@@akio1489 if she worked on her head voice & breath support more, she would sound very amazing because I've watched her sing this and it made me feel as if I was on a hazy mountain, cool, windy. She put her soul in the song and made the song sound very alive. But I don't know if another singer from Malaysia, Ernie Zakri would be able to sing this since she's a queen of head voice and a versatile singer like Shila Amzah too except that I'm not sure if she could sing in foreign languages like Shila Amzah does.
