    One of the bravest scholars to address the various 'controversies' in Islamic tradition and explain it to people. Its not an easy task

      Great interview Mr. Shadeed. One thing though- what you said about the Prophet not implementing a government- well that's not entirely true, but I definitely agree that the Prophet did no try to force or compel anyone to follow the religion or to practice it. Since Islam is the moral barometer, it would be vital to have Islamic law in a majority Muslim nation as the Prophet did and as did the Khalifas after him.

      @The Rod What is irrational about Islam?

    • @read1communications
      @read1communications  4 года назад

      @The Rod My foundation to Islam is the Holy Quran and all information that align with it.

    • @read1communications
      @read1communications  4 года назад

      @The Rod The Quran does not require hadith, for me. That does not mean that hadiths are not useful. Hadith is relevant only if it is in concert with the Quran.

      @The Rod Dr. Brown has the right to offer his opinion but you and I do not have to agree. Peace to you dear brother.

    The Great prophet Muahmmad had pure and sincere heart so he was able to understand deeply the Holy Book of the Quran. So he articulated it in the form of his Holy Hadeethes. So if we want to know the real Hadeethes from the false ones we need to look at them in the light of the Holy Quran.

      @adam khan You till me??? When you trust someone you wouldn't misinterpret any of his behaviour. You even interpret it as something wise even if you don't know the wisdom of that behaviour.

    Nobody can sort out the authentic Hadeethes of the great prophet Muhammad except those scholars who have the same pure and sincere hearts that he (peace upon him) and his noble companions had. Allah the Almighty says (No one can touch it (its real meanings ) except those with pure and sincere hearts) So the adequate and necessary condition to understand the Holy Quran and the real Sunnah of the prophet is purity / sincere heart. Thus we can differentiate the false Hadeeths from the real ones.

      Let's see for one to understand Islam you must first have a pure heart, isn't that like saying before you understand physics you must first be a physicist - isn't that a stupid way of looking at learning.

    Youre a very good interviewer sir, you had very knowledgable and interesting questions to ask. Ive noticed that when it comes to Islam interviewers usually ask their guests, often quite knowledgable scholars, very basic and dry questions and the conversation ends up revolving on stereotypical issues like politics, terrorism etc. glad tp see you didnt do that here. :)

    Why don't people understand Islam doesn't exist after prophet Muhammad(pbuh), it has been started from Adam eve when first foot step on earth, there are many revelations from then like thora, engilee (old & new testament respectively) but the quran is last & final & revelation. Why don't make sense?

    I think he can be an ulama, but remember ulama are literally practicing Muhammad's way of life according to as-sunnah. Dr. Jonathan Brown is an intelligent muslim, he understands the al-Quran, al-Hadith & as-Sunnah deeply.

    Aren't you expected to chose a muslim name if you're converting to islam
    Jonathan is of hebrew origin meaning ""YHWH has given" in Hebrew. The first known Jonathan was a son of King Saul in the Hebrew Bible, a close friend of David

    • @dannysalgado3511
      @dannysalgado3511 7 лет назад +5

      @zaggy3110. There is no requirement from the religion to change one's name. This was the name that he was born with and it is based on the name of the prophet John (upon him be peace). Therefore, it is Islamic.
