I can’t wait to be done with the craft show this weekend so that I can get back to working on all your wonderful ideas. Today I chuckled seeing your inked up fingers. But you are definitely having fun. Over 18k followers now, excellent.
Oh my, I've been wracking my brain (all 2 brain cells, lol) trying to come up with an idea for several anniversary cards I'll be needing in January. Your cards today are perfect and sooo lovely, thank you! Really cool idea!
Oh I remember doing this and creating some funky, mixed media cards; yep they crumble if not used within two years.😂 Lovely cards Natalie, thank you so much!🎉🤩💜👍🏾🥰🤘🏾🎉 Amazing series!!
It's a cross between a card-making and a science experiment video! Never in my wildest dreams would I have come up with such an idea, and look how beautiful it turned out! 😮 You would be proud of me however, as in making my Christmas cards, my white ink pad was virtually depleted so I went to the store for more. There was none to be had. I wondered WWND, and found myself looking for the paint aisle. I looked at the various white acrylics and found a pearlized version. "I wonder if this would work," I thought, considering the panel I was to use it on was fairly thin colored card stock and not mixed-media paper. I was so excited to experiment, and it turned out gorgeous! 😊 See how your inspiration carries throughout our lives and not just as we watch your videos or try try to imitate your work?? The sign of an excellent teacher. Thank you for saving the day! 💕
WOW, that technique with iron and powder is phenomenal. Those hearts are simply gorgeous. You know I love hearts and this video is full of them. I'm so glad to have your channel. It is amazing!!! I don't have a favorite because they are all hearts and those cards are magnificent. Thank you Natalie ❤️🩷💛
You jave such a clever, inventive, crafty mind! I am so blessed to be able to enjoy your gifts. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing. Your teaching is clear, concise and very helpful. Your projects are lovely. It is a joy to learn from your videos. 😊❤
This is so cool! Now I have to find my long-forgotten travel iron! As always, I think all four of your cards are fantastic. My two very favorites are the first one and the one with the DIY gilding wax (but it was a difficult choice). Is it me, or are your viewer numbers increasing daily?! 🤞I want everyone to see and appreciate your creativity! Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🩷
Marion Emberson on RUclips also uses this technique but also uses her heat tool and a little electric pancake maker to get different results. Love your cards. The colours of the embossing powder melted together are lovely
Great cards, thank you for the iron while removing tip. The matt look although sometimes appropriate wasn't what I was after. Made a mess of my iron though, mini travel iron is still on the one day shopping list😂 Ex
What an amazing idea! Thank you. I never thought about engagement cards, but I sure don't find many sympathy sentiments but there are always tons of wedding and birthday sentiments.
Great cards Natalie. I love them all. It has been a while since I have seen anyone use embossing that way. Marion Emberson used to do that a lot. I also use my (craft) iron to make vellum like paper using bees wax. My craft iron gets used more often then my regular one. :)
@@leanneusher1001 All you need is lighter paper , bees wax pellets and an iron. You literally melt the wax into the paper making it look similar to vellum. Try it sometime!
I'm so glad I found this channel! My fav cards are 2 and 3, though all are very nice. Now I'm going to have to dig through my stash and look for 'engagement' stamps. 😂 When all else fails I do occasionally just use the computer for a sentiment. We have an old laser and in a pinch I can foil those if I need to. Thanks for sharing your cards...and your channel. I'm always inspired.
What a brilliant idea. These cards are beautiful. You are so talented and have so many wonderful ideas. I think I learn something new everyday. Thank you so much for everything you do. 🥰
Ingenious technique, Natalie and all the cards are beautiful. I don't have a favourite because they are all fabulous in their own way. Thank you for showing us such an amazing technique xx
Also anafter though Natalie, have you ever tried creating acrylic skins? This can create beautiful marbled patterned designs to use to create beatiful "stones" for jewellery and same can be used on cards either glued to card and diecut or highlighted using the little glass cabochon domes. It's a bit messy to create the acrylic pours and can take about a week to fully dry the paint, (though I'm impatient and usually find its mostly dry after about 4 or 5 days) but they can be really pretty in small shapes on CAS cards too.
What fun! I have just donated my pot of Seafoam White to the Rowans 🤦♀️ 🤣… I have plenty of others though, which is why this Seafoam got donated. Such a beautiful set of cards ❤
Fabulous mixed media video, I've done this technique only once but direct onto cardstock with a heat tool not an iron and it was fun to do, thanks for the reminder x
Beautiful cards. I am definitely going to play with this technique, and get the old melting pot and friendly plastic out too. I'd probably add some glossy accent or some sort of glaze to protect the embossing.
Oh and my brother in law is a beekeeper and he just dropped off a few bars of beeswax last night. I needed it to refresh some of my gilding waxes so will be using some of my pigment powders stash too.
That looks great fun😃, another technique to try, thanks again😊. And I have beeswax and lots of pigment powders so I can feel some gilding wax making coming on when I’ve found that video!!! x x
3 stunning cards and an ingenious way of using embossing powder. I’m going to try this out with mica powders mixed in to the powder. No binder but it should be fixed by the embossing powder. I’ll see.
Love this idea. I have quite a few embossing powders and struggle to get nice sentiments with them so this will be a great way to use them up. Thank you.
I like the cards, the embossing powder blobs look great to use for cards. Although I am not a big fan of ”hearts” I like what you did on all cards. I am not sure about the different color of the gold Nuvo drops. I might have embossed some cardstock with the same embossing powder and cut some dots, just to get the same color of gold. Thank you for a good suggestion how to use an iron, I will compare this technique and the one with a small pancake baking thingy…👍
Lovely idea Natalie, I enjoy watching all the ideas you share here, thanks. This looks much more fun than the usual ironing chores I put my iron through and nice to create such pretty resulting cards. As others have mentioned Marion Emberson, who loves playing with her embossing powders did a similar technique to create a melted mix of pretty colours and texture, she also did one she called the pouncing technique using her heat gun with little piles of mixed embossing powders as well as the afore mentioned pancake maker, though an electric omelette maker would give a similar result I would think too. I still have my old Ranger Melting pot and UT embossing powders I could use. I was wondering though, if using a card as the base with this technique would save gluing the embossing powder ironed blob to the card, one less step before die cutting and you'd still have the delicate fine layer to lift from the parchment paper layer.
I do not have any pigment powder and have had no interest in getting any. Notice I said *HAD* no interest? {*sigh*} You keep doing such wonderful things with it, I'm afraid I *NEED* some now! Very, Very pretty cards!
What a fascinating technique. I love it. I like all the cards but I think the one with the gilding wax is my favorite. I have a question. What is PVA? I figure it must be some kind of glue, but I'm not sure. Thanks for your inspiration. Just love watching your videos.

@@nbcascards Well deserved! 👍
Wow card no. 3 is stunning! Must be the gilding wax!❤
Thank you so much! ❤️
What a clever idea and truly lovely cards❤ Natalie, your brain must be a fabulous place to live with so many beautiful ideas flying about❤
Thank you!

What an interesting technique. Love all the very delicate cards.
Thanks so much!
I can’t wait to try this. Lovely cards. 🌻🌻
Yay, thank you!

Awesome! Thank you!
What a creative technique! I might have added a teeny bit of gold embossing powder to the blob, just to tie everything together. 💛😊
Thanks!
Card no.3 is my favourite with the diy gilding wax, the extra pop of colour and touch of gold is gorgeous 💕
Thanks so much 😊
With thirty-plus years of card making I have never seen anyone melt embossing powder on parchment! You are a genius Natalie. Thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome!
What great ideas! You’re a brilliant teacher and I love watching your videos. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Unique idea-beautiful cards❤
Thank you so much 😊
These are beautiful cards, love the idea with the embossing powder!
Thanks so much!
What a brilliant technique, Natalie. The end result reminds me of mother of pearl! Beautiful cards! Tfs xxx
Most welcome! Thanks for watching. :)
I love this technique. I watched Marion Emberson do something similar. She used a tiny pancake maker to melt the embossing powder.
I'd definitely use a tiny pancake maker if I had one. It looks fun!
What a brilliant idea. These cards are beautiful. You are so talented and have so many wonderful ideas. I think I learn something new everyday. Thank you so much for everything you do. 🥰
Thank you so much!
What beautiful cards, I'm going to have a go at the embossing powder idea, tfs
Have fun!
Oooo, I had forgotten about that lovely technique. I think I saw Marion Emberson do it a while ago. Beautiful cards, I love the swirly one!!!❤
Thanks! Marion is the queen of heat embossing. x
Very pretty cards. I have not seen this technique before, another thing to add to my 'try out' list.
Thanks so much!
All really lovely cards.
Thanks so much!
Ingenious technique, Natalie and all the cards are beautiful. I don't have a favourite because they are all fabulous in their own way. Thank you for showing us such an amazing technique xx

Thanks! Have fun. x
Superbe idée encore une fois ! Bravo ! Magnifique cartes ! ❤🎉
Thank you!😃❤️
That’s a new one , thanks Natalie x
My pleasure! Thanks for watching. :)
If you do the blob on plain white card it would be little more sturdy. Lovely cards!
I've done it that way before, but it doesn't quite come out the same. It's definitely more sturdy though. :)
Wow! All beautiful!
Thank you! 😊
That looks great fun😃, another technique to try, thanks again😊. And I have beeswax and lots of pigment powders so I can feel some gilding wax making coming on when I’ve found that video!!! x x
Sounds great!
Beautiful cards and great techniques. Thanks for sharing xx

3 stunning cards and an ingenious way of using embossing powder. I’m going to try this out with mica powders mixed in to the powder. No binder but it should be fixed by the embossing powder. I’ll see.
Yep. That should work. x
Wonderful ideas again…TY ✌🏽

Thanks! It is a very versatile supply. :)
I only have mica powders so far. Great ideas.
Thanks!
What a fascinating technique. I love it. I like all the cards but I think the one with the gilding wax is my favorite. I have a question. What is PVA? I figure it must be some kind of glue, but I'm not sure. Thanks for your inspiration. Just love watching your videos.
Thank you so much! Polyvinyl acetate (PVA) is commonly known as wood glue, PVA glue, white glue, carpenter's glue, school glue, or Elmer's Glue. X
❤
😀
Thanks Natalie 😊. Does the pigment wax dry completely on the paper? Doesn't she go all the way through the paper? remain greasy?
It does dry completely. Make sure to give it a buff with a paper towel or cloth to remove any excess. X
@nbcascards OK, thanks Natalie ! 😊👍
I keep meaning to ask...what brand of mini die cutting machines do you use?
I have two: a Crafters Companion Gemini Mini and a Sizzix Sidekick. Bother a good. x
So beautiful.
Thank you! Cheers!
Something new I have learnt. Thank you Natalie - fascinating xx
You're so welcome!
