Great Vid agree with everything , loved our USA to Naples 17 day trip. ONE CAUTION for would be freighter passengers... careful who you choose as a travel Agent. We had real troubles with Maris Freighter Cruises...

hi! fyi there are TONS of repositioning cruises out of Ft Lauderdale in the spring (to get the ships to Europe for the summer season) on Carnival or Princess or Royal...and less $$ and more ammenities than a cargo ship has to offer...14-16 days with planned stops, all food , cabin etc...they go to Spain or UK, some to Italy...many under $1500, some for $1000! I get the feeling you like the bohemian nature of the cargo ship, but others might like a little more traditional voyage. Get off the ship, have your European adventures and fly home! (Stay safe, sleep well, stay healthy...hi Hugh!)

Enjoy these vids alot! I've been looking to do a cargo ship. Since I live in the US and work full-time; going to try something a bit shorter on time. I like the comment about going in the winter to experience the weather. That actually sounds pretty tempting and would be awesome to experience! Keep posting and traveling!

Thanks for these videos, super cool. I'm thinking about taking a year or so off and heading to SE Asia and how long it takes to get there wouldn't be that important, so I guess it's time to start looking at getting a trip from Seattle to the mainland of SE Asia, ideally it would end in Bangkok, but I could deal with anything from Vietnam to Singapore and head inland from whatever port I ended up at.

I enjoy the energy you bring to your channel. How long is the average layover when a cargo ship makes port. Can a person planning to retire in a foreign country take the ship to the port of entry and not return to the ship?

How does the price compare to a Cruise Liner?
I spent about $100 a day for the cruise I took. (4nights). He says cargo is about the same.

Man i feel sorry for the crew, having passengers on ship is a nightmare. Cool video but just a note to the public, the Crew on cargo ships get tired, english is usually a second language and they are on ship for long periods of time. Dont go on thinking everyone is going to be super friendly because they are not, after 5 months of living in close quarters it gets tough and having someone with their camera walking around is not ideal.
