Mate, if you are reading this, I have randomly found myself watching your 9 year old standard deviation video while studying for udemys data science Bootcamp, and here you share this video 3 hours ago, while I was wondering how you have changed after all these years. I have passed my econometrics classes this year, without truly understanding chi-square, and now I get it thanks to you. I salute the universe which had brought us with this occasion. Bless you and your family!
Damn, you helped me immensely through AP Stats in high school four years ago. Now I’m one semester away from graduating college. Thanks for everything AP Stats Guy!
i'm fifty and back to school, and i spend my afternoon watching your videos . They are clearer than everything i had learnt and once understood and forgotten, coz i just learnt by heart without understanding it. the chi square distribution was never presented... until your video. Thanks!!! and also your videos from 2010... thank you again
The GOAT of statistics!!! each time I need a quick refresher I instantly go to Mr. Nystrom. Literally from community college, to uni, to now med school. LOL. Side note, the "what's going on in there!?" got me XD @8:32
Dear Sir, I'm from Sri Lanka 38 years old as of now.just like the comment below. I was browsing how to understand Standard Deviation. Not only your 9 year video on this explained Standard Deviation in a way I will never forget. I came to see how you are doing now. You are amazing and I want you to know it. A concept that was like major to me since I was 16, was explained by you in just 16 minutes. Your enthusiasm is amazing and contagious. I found a new enthusiasm for Statistics because of you thank you so much.
Love your energy hasn’t drop a bit over the years! I tutor stats, and I refer to your site often. I haven’t used the HoHa expression yet! If there is an MVP stats teaching award out there, I’d root for you no question!
MrNystrom - Dude... you are hilarious, it is so much easier to learn when it's entertaining! Please.. with cheese.. let us make you an offer you can't refuse to make a couple vids that help our customers understand what we do!
here, we did not calculate chi square as the sum of squares of Z scores like mentioned in the previous video. And also, in the previous video it was mentioned that for a chi square value with three degrees of freedom we sum 3 squares of Z scores. While in this video we calculate all 4 values. Someone please clarify. thanks!
Hi Mr Nystrom, do you offer online tutoring sessions? I am interested in an ad hoc session , around an hour or two, where I can ask you some questions to help me understand some stats stuff. Thanks!
