Seeing this is kinda crazy. I feel like pre covid light struggled with Mr. E because he learned the matchup and played it well. But light is playing so out of this world I can't predict any of his moves, and it looks like neither can Mr. E. He's evolved so much throughout ultimates lifespan

hard to see mr e lose most of the exchanges. i wanted to see a little more trades at least from lucina. light conditioned him well and used a lot of good strings. i think mr. e's reactions are fast but was hoping for more movement

5:00 That's iffy... Marth b-air at 60% w/ tipper sends as far as Lucina b-air at 72%. And this is Lucina full hop vs Marth short hop, if you full hop with Marth it's even better.
That's a 12 to 15% difference, so I wouldn't say that alone makes her better. It's just easier to position due to no timing/spacing being required.
But easier =/= better
That being said, Light looked like Mango the way he played fox this game~ big W.

Came here to learn how to beat the local lucina main with fox but learnt nothing because Mr E just didn't do anything, he only edgeguarded once the whole time
You just gotta be way better than your opponent, easy
I feel like Mr E has always had a super slow and methodical playstyle but with a player as fast and as good at controlling the pace as light it’s really hard to play like that
