It was constructed after favorable judgment from a legal battle initiated in 1885. Do not let anyone fool you. It is legally established that a temple stood at Ayoydhya. The place is sacred to Hindus as it is considered the birthplace of a revered deity, Lord Ram. In its judgment, the court did not comment on who demolished the temple. It is not hard to fill this void with a little bit of common sense, given the fact that 800 AD to 1400 AD was a tough period for India as it witnessed a brutal Islamic invasion. Coming back to the main issue, the Act had many problems. There were already multiple legal battles about several disputed "places of worship" even before this act.
