- Sound clips of this fantastic guitar that was built up this spring. Used #tksmith replica bigsby pickups the Tk Smith C.A.R. Pickups. on this 57’ Gretsch Streamliner. Curt at School House guitars brought it all to life. A real dream come true guitar for me. Playing along to the classic Red Sovine cut “Juke Joint Johnny “ using all three pickup options.
Hope you enjoy the sounds.
That Great Gretsch Sound (and that great Grady sound) . . . many thanks!
Fantastic on all fronts!
Beautiful job on both the guitar and the playing!
Thank you TK. I can’t put it down. I just put flats on it. Yes you’re right about how it sounds.
Killer playing, man!
What a killer guitar! I, too like the CARs through a BF or SF style amp
Sounds great. A real looker too!
Great demo of those pickups! Thank you. Great playing!
Thank you. Keep picking.
I’d love to hear more of this guitar!
Sure. I’ll post one tonight
Beautiful
Unmatched tone
Nice job Fred, if this is Fred? Gas Money! Loved the playing and tones brother. I just picked up a new limited edition Gretsch and it sounds so amazing playing Charlie Christian licks.
Verb! 👏
Nice. What other pickup would you compare this CAR pickup tonewise, P90 ?
cyberprimate nothing can really compare to them, they are totally unique!
Juke Joint Johnny
Red Sovine
Do you know anyone who does refinishing in the original Gretsch colors? Thanks
Curt at old school guitars does beautiful work. He’s in hopewell NJ.
Flatwounds?
Yes indeed
Sounds a lot like Brian Setzers Gretsch Falcon.
What color is that finish? Gold?
It’s the factory bamboo yellow from 57’.
@@gasmoney51 Man, that is Rockabilly Heaven!
Close to P13 gibsons' tone.
More talk than action.
