EDG just didnt adapt to the current meta as well as Korean and Eu teams have and their communication just isnt at the same level. its as simple as that. I expect LPL to rebound because they are very talented and have the potential to be a top tier region. it just wasnt their year this year. shit happens.
Spoiler.... A little shocked to see a triple teleport comp come out from EDG and honestly I think it blew. Your giving up a lot especially if the ADC takes teleport. I don't think Deft even used teleport outside getting back into lane. At least Pawn was able to use his to camp Huni in the early game. Both Huni and Reignover gave up a lot of kills to the multiple ganks in the 3v2 fights at top lane. But it only took one team fight for Fnatic's comp to shine and Huni and his cataclysm were on point all game long. He had 2 game winning ultimates that dominated the team fight the last team fight he got 4 players with his ultimate. Add in Rekkles with his ultimate and Febiven and it was carnage. And I don't know how far Fnatic were behind on gold until that first team fight win, but the team fight then Baron and then the turrets afterwards really turned the tempo around for Fnatic. Really shows that Fnatic have some good shot calling to plan around what is happening in the game because Fnatic went super passive to try to stay safe in lane with all the globals on the EDG side. It was impressive to see.
One thing that people in soloq never realizes is that Fiora is horrible in team fights. She is very strong in 1v1, but when it comes to Team fights she has a hard time doing anything. With 4 kills and that much farm some champions could take the game in competitive, but Fiora just can't do this.
+LordKokuyou the new meta can't but the old fiora couldve been a different story. Now all these new works are more complicated but im not complaining since the old ones really need to be rework soon.
***** Soloq is not LCS dumbass. Your team won't run away from 4v5 fights and they won't take another objective if the entire enemy team comes top. If they fed to much it doesn't matter if you take a turret or two because the enemy team will just take you entire base. Split-push works, but not all the time.
