I was operating the camera! This is Chris Palmer's design and there's no better person to teach it than Chris Palmer himself! He is one of my best friends and we are very lucky to have him as an occasional guest teacher on this channel.
JeremyShaferOrigami we are
EKNATH TICHKULE it says very clearly in the comment, Chris is Jeremy’s best friend. He’s a man, a human, just like u, not an It.

I learned this model from Chris Palmer many years ago at some late night folding session at some Origami convention. I could never duplicate it, however. I think there is a crease pattern on one of his CD's which I own. I am so glad this model is finally in video. Thanks Chris and Jeremy.
I think it's amazing that you got Chris Palmer on here doing the tutorial.
Thank you both very much for sharing! I first learned this from Joel Bauer and it never ceases to elicit ooh's and aah's when it demonstrates its paper memory.
This message is for the people who keep disliking Jeremy's video.
If you guys are disliking it it means you can't fold it. If you can't then don't dislike it! Just keep practicing don't be a sore loser and keep rage quiting. I have to admit this took me around 2-6 tries just to get it good. So again DONT RAGE QUIT KEEP PRACTICING...
4:11 is that Jeremy's hand?
Ye
I think so!
nariyoshi hiroki yes

What do u mean no
Because it was designed by Chris Palmer and we are lucky he was available and willing to teach it!

Leman Kat Waaa\a\aa

Me to!
Yes. It says it's ideal for all flashers in Origami Ooh La La!
Yeah, everybody knows that Sir Chris Palmer is a true origami legend, but we can't say that you are not one true origami legend!!Anyway great tutorial Sir Chris Palmer has done and please can you tell him on my behalf that he has done and excellent job teaching us his origami design!:)
Chuck norris just looks at the papef and it folds itself
4:22 hi Twiggy!
What if you made the hat tent flasher with giant paper?could you get inside it
How do you open it. Much less fold it.
@@farihatahir9316 maybe do the folding with some help and the closing...🤔🤔🤔 i dont know
the essence of this origami is that at the end we apply all the bends, this will help
Love,love,love your vids Jeremy
Chris is the legend!
Keep up the good work Chris!
Jeremy long time fan - of both you and Chris - did he use elephant hide for his hat tent here?
Hey Jeremy can you and Chris make a crease pattern for it it is super hard.
Jeremy please do it you have 2 people
Yay
Yes please
Man its so easy but it takes time tho
@@nicozbasangan3504 Not really especially if you do it on 6 in paper
This never gets old
You should put the rubber band first so that's why it will not spread
I love jermey and Cris K. Palmer
0:21 it can scare me if i make it lol 😂
Haha
Catherine Davinna xd
only if you wet fold it or keep it in a rubber band for a long time
Wow! Chris has a beard now! :D
Wondering what kind of paper you are using?
Thanks
4:11 Jeremy in the back
Wow how does it get so spring loaded and comes together so quickly? At the end of the video, his model that he wet-folded didn't spring back into hat form as quickly as the one in the beginning.
Wetfold it. Open and close it a few times. Leave it closed for a little longer after doing that. If it still doesnt spring back quickly, repeat the whole wetfolding process
I think it's because his first thing used printer paper
maybe cus it isnt 100% dry. the longer you wait for it to be completely dry, it will spring back quicker
I made it Jeremy its very cool flasher
I tried it and it was to thin. I NEED WYNDSTONE MARBLE
4:12 on the very very left, was that your hand Jeremy Shafer?
Prob was
it was :O
I think he is making it too
yes
Is this model is published in his book shadowfolds?🤔
While watching this, I was imagining a Life sized version of this.
Same
Ha yes
yeah i have been waiting for a tutorial forever!!!!

I managed to fold it!
the creeping was very difficult but after lots of determination it turned out fine. Thes is an amazing model and i will make sure to subscribe to Chris K.Polmer
+Kamron Gaffner So glad you finally got it!
+JeremyShaferOrigami does it work on printer paper?
thats what i did for mine.
yes the bigger the better
Would cardstock be a good material to fold this with?
Um, no. That would be too difficult to fold, unless you scored all of the edges with an inkless ball point pen using a straight edge.
Oh well I tried using cardstock already it turned out pretty good. Atleast better than my printer paper one.
GODDAMN CHRIS PALMER JEREMY AND CHRIS' BEARD UP IN THIS VID.
Woo!
Great folding!
Great! I made it! When are you going to make a tutorial on your one dollar convertible car?
The only part I had trouble with was collapsing it. I couldn’t do it, the back of my paper kept scrunching up. Anyone have any tips or anything I missed?
Thumbs up if you wish you could make this out of a HUGE piece of paper and use it as an actual tent!
Umm which one do you mean? Do you mean just the regular hexagonal flasher? Or is it another hexagonal flasher ( a different one) if it is then I AGREE
thnx chris for this great tutorial thnx jeremy for ur tutorials
