Pet cougars are supposed to be very skittish but I think he likes being the center of attention! Messi is such an amazing creature, he almost seems to know that he is famous. And it is remarkable how calm he remains when in public, letting everyone pet him without even so much as a growl. Pet cougars are supposed to be very skittish but I think he likes being the center of attention! He seemed very calm, ears forward and relaxed, not turning his head when people pet him or shrinking his back. Mr Sasha the feeling you are going through with exposing Messi is that of a very proud papa. I went through the same feeling for 14 years with my German Shepherd RIP. I just can't believe a puma cat would be so interested in pleasing humans. Especially bringing that animal to a public place, and letting whoever pet /take pictures is truly amazing. Messi has a unique bond with people that is really special.

Messi is such an amazing creature, he almost seems to know that he is famous. And it is remarkable how calm he remains when in public, letting everyone pet him without even so much as a growl. Hope he enjoyed the movie, he certainly appeared to be enjoying the special attention he was getting; and a great choice of a film to take him to. Saw that one with my kids, and they both loved it.

Two things about this channel never cease to amaze me:
-Messi is calmer and better-behaved than 99% of dogs! I wish he could teach Ichel the cheetah to take on such an attitude!
-Russia is a completely modern Western country. How are you able to take Messi to all these public places? In this regard, you seem to have more freedom than most places in the US!
Interesting question. At first I wanted to joke that since you don't protest against the government you can do whatever you wish. But the problem is deeper in different understanding of freedom and attitude to the law. In this particular case, the law doesn't determine whether puma is domestic or not. Or may be it does, I don't know and nobody does even the police if they happen to be around:D
Messi is well behaved, and any animal who is well behaved should be welcomed everywhere. Same for people ;)
Messi's personality is better than 99% of human, let alone dogs.
Keep in mind that the U.S. has a litigious system which pretty much prohibits any activity with animals in public which could hold the owner liable for serious damages even for the slightest of misbehaviors or god forbid, physical harm. Too many opportunistic lawyers seeking the big payday . Too bad in that watching Messi as a goodwill ambasssador has been an absolute delight but realistically could not happen in the U.S.

This puma is very spoilt! This couple feed him well, give him oodles of love and lots of stimulation and a big house and yard to run around in, and so, I hope that they make a little bit of money off his photos because feeding him cannot be cheap.
