Your new polisher looks pretty cool. Porter Cable makes some great tools and they last a while too and even more, they are affordable. Best performance at best price is a good business model. The majority of people in the world aren't going to want a Shinemate, Rupes, or Flex. They just want a polisher that can get the job done effectively for the best price. Porter Cable was actually the main polisher that most detailers (including myself) used back 30+ years ago before the Rupes, Flex, and other machines were ever available here in the USA. Granted, the 3M rotary was at the top of the scale back then, but it was just so darned heavy and VERY expensive. I did detailing with my friend and he had one and it was really heavy. For us old guys (i've been detailing for over 45+ years), the Porter Cable was the inexpensive option and it was a workhorse for sure. It was what we had back then and it actually got the job done. And they rarely broke down. Mine lasted for YEARS! The long throw polishers are the way to go now days. Chem-X would be awesome if you bring them on board. Bob probably has the most effective touchless wash system in the world right now. Chem-X is really and up and coming business. Bob has been adding all sorts of new effective products. I loved the whole "conspiracy theory" at the end and the fact detailers need to do convert investigations into who makes everything for whomever else. That is so true! We all do the same thing! LOL Come on Bob, let these boys distribute your Chem-X products! It would be a win-win! You'd sell more product.

It's always hard to move from reviewer to manufacturing brand. As long as you can be objective and separate your brand from what made your channel that will keep you successful. Don't pull a Pan and just compare your product to other brands and if it's worse then occupy a different niche like the value detailers brand. I see the value that Detail Co. offers and I am excited to try some of your products.

Yvan has already done a video on how Rotary is better than Dual. Yvan uses rotary and Nick on dual and Nick admits rotary looks better and is faster. I would like to see a colab with Yvan where you go to a Costco parking lot, find a car that hasn't been cleaned in 10 years, serious layers of grime, with internals that look like a beaver is building a dam, and offer to detail inside and out with a full detail with every product you offer. Second idea, would be to do the above, but call up a random local mobile detailer and ask them to detail that car with your products while you sit in deck chairs with cool drinks and critique their technique.
In reference to Labo products, my personal opinion and reason for not adding it to my cart is due to the language barrier and name of products. IF the names were changed to English language along with directions, I think the brand/products will have a better chance in the U.S. market. It’s hard to sell a product to Central America if my products are in English and the population speaks Spanish. Again my two cents. Presentation of products is a huge factor too. Cheers 🍻
The Lab products sell like hotcakes here in the UK. It doesn’t take two seconds to pick up a bottle and look on the back for English instructions. Perhaps in Europe we’re used to seeing more languages 🤷♀️
Any news on THOR ever reaching the UK/Europe as promised?! I know it took DIY Detail an age to get here but you promised it would not be long after US launch 😢. PS still love you guys ❤😂
