I can relate to this song in so many ways. I'm at the domestic violence survivor. I have no contact with the person who abused in marriage. I'm glad I left. It took all my strength I had. I like what she says about not being a violent person but I saved all my Vengeance for you. So whenever someone hurts you over and over and over again and beats you down, Then you leave you still have to face those demons of your past, not a physical person. This touches deep. Helps you stop running scared and you come face-to-face with your trauma and handle it and let it go.
I get vibe that this is a to be continued music video, like it was already cool but pretty straightforward plot then she sees that old dude in the crowd and there's that twist. Also- love all of IFH's catalog but this may be one of the best. Want to have a whole album of this style. Rock on, Ariel and Shawn.
This is the Icon for Hire I’ve been waiting on since I first heard Scripted. This was the direction I hoped you were going in back then. But hey, at least we finally got there 11 years later, better late than never lol. And I’ve enjoyed all the music along the way. But, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t more excited for this album than I have been any other so far. Can not wait for this one. Also, killer video as always as well.

It could add an extra meaning to this song, too, if you really think about it. Though, just like every other Icon For Hire song, this song is awesome no matter what Edit: Also, with the reference to this music video and therefore song at the start of their music video for their song "Shadow" on The Reckoning, it's just perfect. It makes it feel like they're all connected, which can connect to make a whole message. That's so awesome to me! Icon for Hire is just awesome!
After listening it for a few times, I love this direction that IFH is headed in. It's hard, it's intense, it's what I think we need for a post-pandemic world. It's weight is reminiscent of the early 00's nu-metal golden era of Ill Niño's "Revolution Revolución", Papa Roach's "lovehatetragedy", or Mudvayne's "Lost and Found" - the main difference is the crispiness and quality we've come to expect from Icon. You can tell the track wasn't something just pumped out overnight. Yes, this is nothing like Scripted or the homonymous albums, but I'm glad it's not; bands that rely too much on what has worked on in the past won't make it to the future. Icon has been maturing ever since YCKU, getting older, wiser, stronger, and taking in less bull. Ready for Combat is the starting pistol of this new world we've woken into, it's the cold water on that early Monday morning to kick you up into gear. I, for one, cannot wait to see what Icon will surprise us with next.

Are we watching the same video? Got nothing against the band but this video is not "incredible". That would imply something people haven't seen before and evoking some level of excitement. But more importantly this was poorly choreographed. Whoever the director and DP were they had basic ideas and nothing new (probably straight out of college). It might be enough to most but to call this video "incredible" is quite the stretch. Sure you are entitled to your opinion but lets be real, this isn't art. This isn't a Masterpiece. It's recycled and lazy.
