(I believe the game after the night killing spree was Tug Of War so it makes sense why they wanted to get rid of weaklings.) 2) This one is unfair to Sae because I know they broke the glass because the time ran out but they all passed so that means they should be free from getting hurt. But, I guess they all could’ve gotten severely injured since them three were all standing there next to the broken flying pieces of glass and were getting the same treatment, but Sae had a disadvantage because she was closest to it. 3) The game said to get the marbles from the other person and you can’t use violence, so basically Sangwoo passed even when he cheated because he didn’t break any rules regarding violence, poor Ali though :(

The one thing I was disappointed by at the end was how Sae-Byeok died, I am not against her dying but I was hoping there would be this big thing where all three of them fought to the death for the money at the end. The ending was good and I don’t fully understand the squid game rules so I suppose this could sound dumb but I would have liked it if she was there, the glass in her stomach felt like it took away from how good the climax could have been. It makes episode 6 feel a little bit more pointless for her because the girls she became friends with made a pointless sacrifice. To somewhat remedy this I think it could have been nice if they took a page out of the danganronpa anime (yes I understand it’s mostly mediocre but there are some good aspects of it) and had them watching what was happening in like a movie theater or something (similarly to how Chisa Yukizome and Junko Enoshime did), because it would have at least meant that while they were dead they could still go to the beach together. I have minor complaints with the show but in the end I did enjoy it.
They got rid of her because it’s obvious that Sae and Gi Hun got close and it’s clear he does not have intentions of hurting her. It wouldn’t make sense to make the three of them fight, Gi Hun wouldn’t bring himself to murder her and she is definitely not going to be the shows winner, neither will Sang Woo. Also, it makes more sense for Sang Woo and Gi Hun to be the last two standing because it parallels to the first episode where they were playing squid game together for fun, and then at the last episode it’s the complete opposite- they want to kill each other. Saebyeoks death also made sense to show how far Sang woo will go to win, and how detached he really is. You could see him shaking and at a state of shock when he murderer her, and after his fight with Gi Hun, he just completely gave up and killed himself. It shows what kind of character he is, despite him doing absolutely terrible things, he really didn’t want to do it. I got way off the point but I just think his character is pretty interesting lol Oh and I don’t think Ji Yeoungs death was pointless. It actually makes it very realistic how Sae died even though someone sacrificed themselves for her because that’s just how life is. It doesn’t go the way people plan. But, I don’t think her sacrifice was in vain because at the very least, Sae Byeok got to live far enough to entrust Gi Hun to her little brother and asked him to look after her loved ones. Even if she died, she died knowing someone trustworthy would help her family. (I hope Gi Hun can get her mom out of North Korea).

Imo to answer for Squid Game being a "cheap copy" of As the God's Will (personally haven't watched Alice in Borderland so idk if it's similar) is probably cuz of similar setting [players trapped in an unknown environment and forced to play games in order to win, the losers die] There's a lot of differences too like As the God's Will - Japanese - mysterious entities [live daruma doll, live lucky neko, the white cube floating on the city etc] - the characters are high schoolers - supernatural horror Squid Game - Korean - people in a higher authority kidnapped the players in a remote island - the characters are generally around mid 20s to late 50s - survival drama Yeah that's pretty much from what I can understand
