One of my favorite videos. This is must watch! It is so easy to find the usual Mexican towns, God knows there are 10,000 videos for Puerto Vallarta all with the same stuff! This is new, fresh and unique it shows another side of Mexico! Bravo!
Я была в Тлалпухауа 10 лет назад. Когда своими глазами увидела все эти чудеса из стекла, чуть не расплакалась от восторга. Это незабываемо красиво! Спасибо, что вернули меня в мои воспоминания.
Really nice video and great camera work, Marc! Paulette, you are so cute in that lovely straw hat and the pigtails! All the ornaments are beautiful and so interesting to see. I was wondering about the pricing on them. I think I saw once price for $45 cada una and another for $14. I don't think its even possible to buy ornaments like that here in the US anymore. The old mainstream department stores used to have displays like that, but gone for years, it was very nostalgic. My mom had an aunt who worked in an ornament factory in Newark, NJ, back in the 1950's and our family had beautiful old fashioned hand painted glass ornaments from her. Because of the lock downs in the US and orders for no unessential travel, I was SO STUNNED to see all those Mexican people out and about, but glad to see the masks. It's so abandoned here now and we don't see people anywhere! In El Paso, there are also task forces going around and citing people for being out if not essential. Since March, I go out only once every two weeks and only to the local grocery store. I spent 2 weeks in CDMX in March, got back just in time to face all this crazy chaos in the US, and can't wait to return to Mexico, but my next trip will be to Bajio cities region, and would love to see you in SLP. Your videos are always quite lovely and I watch them multiple times to absorb all the MX details. I want to relocate to MX and learn so much from each of you.
We'd love to meet up with you. With the exception of mask wearing life seems to be getting back to normal. With no welfare system here to speak of if people aren't working they aren't putting food on the table. A lot of ornaments weren't marked with a price. I did see some that were around 2 dollars US. and some more expensive for the more detailed ones. There were amazing ornaments everywhere we looked. Hopefully you can relocate to Mexico soon. Thanks you so much for your kind and thoughtful comments on our videos. If there is something we could be doing better let us know. -Marc.
Interesting...Looks like a bucket list place :) Reminds me a little of Atlixco... where they put on awesome Christmas light shows! Also the most flowers of any small town I have ever seen!! My first time seeing your video.. I shall check out your channel :)
Looks very interesting, you are right, I have never heard of this place. I will have to check it out one day. There is another Christmas town like this in Puebla I want to visit as well.
Fantastic video, y'all!!! So many beautiful things & the cathedral was stunningly gorgeous! May I ask how you found this treasure of a pueblo magico? I hadn't heard of it & would love to visit. Thanks for showing us so many wonderful things...and the music was spot on!!!
Try visiting Zamora, Michoacan. Nice little town. Another Christmas town that likes to make ornaments is in Zacatlan de las Manzanas and Chignahuapan in Puebla. They have fairs for celebrating trees and spheres from around Oct 26- Nov 10.
We were the only gringos there. In the market if you know cuanto cuesta and understand the numbers you can get by. I'm pretty good with the numbers and if I try to over pay they are honest and say return my change.
Great video. One of the best yet 👍 Thanks. I have lived 11 years in Mexico and had never heard of it ! A factory tour of how ornaments are made would be fascinating: do they have them ???
Hi CAN BEC, the factory is at another location. These were just stores selling the bulbs and other Christmas related stuff. It's the most amazing collection of hand blown ornaments I've ever seen though. Thanks for watching.
Hello, it seems that at the beginning of the 20th century there was a demonstration game of the New York Yankees in this Pueblo Mágico of Michoacán, at the invitation of the President of Mexico Porfirio Díaz at that time.
@@gerryz1839 Especially when there are letters together that we're not used to seeing like the Tl in Tlaquepaque or the accent is in different places then we're used to. It's all part of the experience of living in Mexico. Are you in Mexico?
All true. The good thing in Spanish is that you pronounce each letter every time, unlike English with its frequent exceptions. I'm not in Mexico now, but born and lived there and return frequently. Was a simultaneous interpreter in college and I work with international medical device regulators.

The best time to visit is from mid October to the end of December. The ornaments are amazing. Many of them hand blown and hand crafted. -Marc
Thanks for the video. You need to plan a trip to one of the Monarch Sanctuaries in Estado de Mexico or Michoacan. 😉
We did, here's a like to a video we did in a Monarch reserve in Michoacan. ruclips.net/video/CkAIr_y3MdA/видео.html
Great vid, high quality camara. You can almost touch the handcrafts you showed.
Thanks for watching Jaime. A good camera certainly helps. I'm still working on becoming a better camera operator. -Marc.

They do tours at the factory to ser the process you just had to ask at the tourism office or go to the factory.
Beautiful country in the state Michoacán
Yes, there certainly is beautiful country in Michoacan. Thanks for watching Rudy.
I love the Cathedrals that have Mary up front.
Thanks for watching Delora. We love the Cathedrals in Mexico including the ones with Mary in front.

So what is the price for a average 1 bedroom apartment
to rent...
Just trying to get different ideas
I will do some research on that and get back to you. We only looked for 2 or 3 bedrooms. Facebook marketplace is a good place to look. Marc
Hey, that would be great... just trying to decide on if I go where are some good options with a good expats community
Thank you again
🙋♂️🙋♂️ hello
Hi Gael.
Interesting video, you seem like nice people, but I can't get past "Pueblo Magicko TlapaHOOA."
Sorry, we did learn to pronounce it later. Thanks for the comment. -Marc
@@TheTwoTravelersInMexico Roger that Marc. Those names are indeed complex.

It an interesting place to visit especially between October and December. -Marc
“Pueblo” doesn’t carry an accent, “Mágico” does. Regards.
Thank you. We learned that later. Thank you for watching our video. -Marc
😂 You need to practice a little bit more on the pronunciation of the town's name!!!!
