I think King Arthur fought against Anglo Saxon invaders not Roman armies, sir.
Wait! Where in the vide did I say he was fighting with the Romans? Is it possible you misheard me saying he was a pivotal figure in the genre of "Romance"?
You didn't say that but you typed it in one of the slides, sir.
Oh! That part is indeed correct. You can look at the Norton Anthology of English Literature, Vol. 1, Page 12, Paragraph 3. This is from Geoffrey of Monmouth's The History of the King's of Britain.
Are you sure you're not mistaking King ALFRED with King Arthur? King Alfred was the one who defended England against the Danes. Arthur was just a legendary figure who could have fought with anyone, depending on the writer. @@user-fm3uy8ox7b
I didn't know that. It is correct, too. Thank you for your time and consideration. ❤
I know king Alfred defended England against danes as you see in Viking's series but as you mentioned, Arthur was just a legendary figure. On one of your slides you mentioned that Arthur defeated the Roman armies in the climax of the Geoffrey's book which is completely true. Also King Arthur fought against Anglo Saxon pagans as a Christian. Am I wrong?
