MADNESS: Project Nexus is a third-person Run n' Gun-slash-Beat'Em Up filled with arcade-style action and button-mashing brutality. Train your custom Madness combatant for the endless trials of Arena Mode, building weapons from your own sick imagination to get through just one more wave of deranged assailants. Or, play through the core campaign as the antiheroes of the Madness universe and unearth the terrible secrets of Project Nexus itself.
MADNESS: Project Nexus challenges your use of immersive & tactical combat, on-your-feet decision making, environmental navigation, a massive selection of weapons, and a pretty heavy dose of comic blood and violence. You'll progress through the game by navigating between rooms and overworld stages, engaging baddies along the way (who become wiser and more tactical as you advance). Not everyone is cut out to survive; we think you may be the exception.
Can you overcome the hordes of gun-toting Agents, sword-brandishing assassins, and bullet-deflecting giants that Project Nexus throws in your path? Grab your trusty weapon and let's find out.
MADNESS: Project Nexus features:
Story Campaign: Take the reigns of the heroes of the Madness universe, and infiltrate heavily guarded installations, survive cultist-ridden tunnel networks, fight back against dynamite-wielding cannibal bandits, and dodge the grasp of armor-plated Mag Agents over three times your size. Play solo or locally with up to three other people (using Xbox-compatible controllers).
Arena Mode: Create your character from scratch, advance through specialized skill tiers, and build a unique Madness warrior who is equipped to take on wave after wave of never-ending badguys in several combat environments. Build your own custom weapons and outfit them with the latest technology to give yourself the edge you're going to need to pull through.

I recommend you only have three hirelings and focus on leveling them. You can replay previous easier arenas to help level them. You can revive dead hirelings at the medical bay by talking to mr Skinner but it will cost some money. You can upgrade the medical bay to reduce the cost of reviving dead hirelings. Also next to the black market there's an upgrade terminal that increases the max level cap of your hirelings and increases the starting levels of the hirelings you can recruit from boss man.
I’ll never forget my first batch of hirelings, Ceku the stuntman, and the hunters, Utune and Leonardo.

The half-mags are honestly terrifying, their charge attacks make me jump everytime.
Krinkles should bring half-mags into the animations.
Until u become the MASSIVE and charge at them

By the way, i recommend getting acrobacists instead of gunmen for hirelings to use guns, a hireling as a acrobacist can perform better with a gun because they have a tac bar, while gunmen don't.
gunmen have tac bars, they just need to level up more before unlocking it.

They end up running out of ammo much more quickly though because they don't get more then one core gun skill, and they tend to miss much more often, which farther wastes their ammo. The acrobats are really only useful as tanks, thanks to the large tac-bars and high endurance, ontop of their better dodging skills. Their combat abilities are so lack-luster compared to everyone else though. They're decent when they can start using throwing weapons that return to them. But because of their small strength, they can only use throwing discs efficiently for melee combat.
This game is pure chaos. I love it. :P

@@minusone7529 I'm already halfway through my first imprint as the Patient. The Facility was long, but not nearly as painful since I only had to protect myself.
That half-mag was MAG Agent Torture Jr, he had a face full of every melee weapon under the sun and was still going
Sounds like me with the big bandit in the first level of the campaign. I just threw melee weapons until he died lmao
My favorite weopon in MADNESS: Project Nexus is the battle axe
Perfect for killing Jorge and Church and basically just any mag boi
Friendly s don’t slow you down that much after you grind their level up, but depending on their level you may need to do a little micro managing
That little kick you can preform using the mousewheel actually does something different while you're holding a gun. You'll hit the enemy with your weapon instead of shooting it, which is helpful for saving ammo

The train thingy was so hard for me lmao.....I lost too many times there and got my squad wiped out so many times in there.
Btw you can equip a melee weapon and a handgun at once.

Hey Lime! Love your videos on project nexus. If you want your hirelings to get stronger you can also bring them into the training pod with you, they also won't need to go to medical if they die in it.
In addition, upgrade your medical station for cheaper revivals without waiting, and upgrade the black market to increase their level cap!
I train them up to be more competent later :)
you can hold q whilst charging your melee weapon so your charge lasts longer while waiting around a corner

A few tips for next episode!
Hirelings are extremely helpful especially when well armored and well equipped, there are 4 types of Hirelings
Gunmen specializes in Guns but is poor in other stats, Thugs have good strength and Endurance and is extremely good with Unarmed combat, Clubbers are good with Melee weapons and Gymnasts are good with acrobatics
I leveled up my Hirelings and they Became extremely powerful and can take on multiple enemies alone
You can also Modify weapons on the Attachment bench next to the Warchest at Q-bert. I suggest that when Modifying guns, Prioritize Damage and Accuracy first and Recoil and Recovery at second, Range and Loudness at last
A Bizon Is an incredibly powerful weapon even in late game if modded with AP ammo and some other attachments

@@ants7279 as you play through missions, you'll start being able to bring more hirelings along automatically without any manual upgrades, up to a max of yourself and 5 other hirelings for a squad of 6
